I have written one book so far - 'Duty Nobly Done' (2018). I hope to write a couple more before I'm done.
I have loved reading since I was little and have passed that on to my children.
My main interests are military history (WW 1 & 2), but happy to read biographies and fiction (crime/history) if any good.
Have been getting into some classics again lately - Dickens, Twain, Louis-Stevenson, Steel Rudd, which has been great.
I also dabble in poetry and have penned several. Hope to do several more and perhaps a book of them.
Anyway, that's about it ;-)

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Adam Holloway I have always been interested in Military History, have always loved reading, and for as long as I can remember, have always wanted to write a book.

When I discovered that my Great Grandfather, his two brothers, and eight cousins (all from the same two grandparents) had fought in the Great War, I was intrigued and commenced researching.
As I did this a light bulb literally went on above my head and I knew this was a remarkable story and needed to be told. The more I researched and discovered so many instances where the 11 interacted and were involved in all the major battles I came to think of it as Australia's answer to 'Band of Brothers'.
To avoid it becoming just another war book, I was inspired to write it as narrative non-fiction. I wanted the reader to go beyond the basic history or place names, facts and figures, and descend with these boys into the very pits of hell on earth. I think I have achieved that.
