It's easy to get discouraged by the enormity of writing a book - so instead just write the next scene. Take it one scene/one chapter at at time. Sounds very elementary, but it works. The book will finish itself if you do your 1% and write the next indicated part! Good luck! I'm cheering for you!! (less)

I'm hardwired for deadlines. Diehard journalist with a father, who was also a journalist. Deadlines keep me writing whether I "feel" like it or not. HOWEVER, I do love those moments - and they happen often when you're writing under deadline because you're more open to them - but those overheard conversations or that one line that you KNOW will make the perfect opening for the next chapter. Those are golden! (less)
