Olivia del Sora belongs to one of the strongest noble families in Evaria. Her mother is lady-in-waiting to Queen Corinna, and Olivia herself is friend and handmaid to Princess Adele. She views the princess almost as a sister and hopes to become lady-in-waiting to Adele in time.
Then Adele is betrothed to the prince of Askarr. Knowing that the princess will be among strangers in a foreign country, Olivia offers to go with her. Even though she is willing to leave behind her home and the family she loves, her loyalty may end up costing her more than she knows.
