In the meantime, meet Princess Adele of Evaria. She’s the younger of her mother’s two children; she’s had a very sheltered life, with virtually no adventures at all, and she prefers it that way. She’s known all along that she needs to make a highly advantageous marriage to bring prosperity to her kingdom.
Adele never suspected her future husband would be the prince of a rival kingdom. But she does her duty as a princess and travels to the land of Askarr as Prince Stefan’s promised bride. She’s grateful that her best friend and confidante, Lady Olivia del Sora, is also coming – but she has no idea of the danger that awaits them on the journey…
