From reader to writer

Hi everyone, I'm KD! So, I wanted to tell you all a little about my journey from reader to writer. I started reading in elementary school. I loved being able to escape inside the pages, if even for a moment. From mystery to comedy, then street lit, I tried a variety of novels until I found what I loved - paranormal romance.

I read everything and anything I could get my hands on. To this day, my kindle is filled with my favorite authors, as well as writers I've never heard of. I'm an equal opportunity reader, and I always have room in my head for all types of different voices.

It wasn't until I spoke with a coworker about a dream did I began to think about adding my own words to paper.

See, I was the type of person who could never fall asleep easily. However, instead of counting sheep, I created stories in my head to calm my anxiety, which is probably why I played with barbie dolls for so long. It was the only way I knew how to ease my restless mind.

When I started writing Electric Pulse in 2017, I had no idea what I was doing. I majored in accounting. I never wrote before. The only thing I knew was there was a story to tell, and only I could write it. Using what I learned from reading all those years, I developed my first novel, and to this day, I couldn't be more proud.

Now, over a year and a half later, I have written four books. It hasn't been easy, and I am still learning and continuing to improve my craft. I look forward to this new journey, and I pray you all to continue to ride along with me.
