Own your writer title!

Mentally it's the mindset that holds me back more than being too busy. For better or worse (hopefully better) I strive to make myself connect with 'being a writer' instead of 'trying to be a writer' and feeling like an impostor.

My writing career is still being built on fresh foundations as well but as I believe I am a writer I'm more likely to believe it (such as working on WIPs, talking about my book, advertising/marketing, etc.)(less)

I love nature. Trees, leaves, the small chirping of birds as they fight twisting in mid air.

Usually when I'm stuck I need to do something different (get away from the screen mostly) for a while. That small reset jolts my mind and gets me thinking again.

I also love reading work by others. As long as I get fresh ideas writer's block usually goes away. (less)

“Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
