Gil Jacobs retired as dean of graduate studies and director of the organizational leadership program at Mercyhurst University in May 2015. Prior to joining Mercyhurst, Dr. Jacobs worked as a CPA for fourteen years, and before his business career, he served twenty-four years in the US Army and retired as a lieutenant colonel in 1992. He has a bachelor’s degree from West Point, a master’s degree from the University of Central Texas, and a doctor of philosophy degree from Regent University. Dr. Jacobs is married to Gail Jacobs, and they have five adult children and ten grandchildren.
