C.J. Sorvik is an aspiring fantasy novelist who daylights as a career firefighter. Raised in the north woods of Minnesota, he spent his days as a wild child in the forest, usually pretending to slay orcs, goblins, dragons, or any other ne'er-do-well that had the misfortune of crossing him on imaginary quests. Finishing college with a BA in Communication he set forth into the world aimless and has worked a menagerie of jobs such as a counselor for troubled youth, a ministry director at a church, server and restaurant manager, and construction worker to name but a few.

I have ADD and my mind is never, ever standing still. This has made me into an unstoppable imagination machine, which can be problematic at times. However, when I need a little inspiration and have the time to dream, I go looking for new music. Many times, an amazing soundtrack will be the catalyst to moving scenes that will play out in my head, and grant me new ideas or motivation to keep writing!(less)
