In my own life? Where the *hell* are my glasses?
I posit a house-imp, caught in some kind of mortal-world lock. The only actions allowed to it are typical house-imp mischief, such as misplacing items: our clever imp must misplace items in such a way as to cause the Family to do the magical actions which will release the lock.(less)

Morning Coffee

I have "gentle coffee" now. More delicious, still holds half-and-half. I'll take it. I have five projects right now, which is too many to make good progress on any of them. But I'll get there.

Delightful; tight, tight writing; dipped from the cauldron of story but uniquely her own. Will enjoy again.

"Though I'd consider it "average", I liked it enough that I'd be willing to read book 2.

Shel Silverstein
“If you are a dreamer come in
If you are a dreamer a wisher a liar
A hoper a pray-er a magic-bean-buyer
If youre a pretender com sit by my fire
For we have some flax golden tales to spin
Come in!
Come in!”
Shel Silverstein

J.R.R. Tolkien
“In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort.”
J.R.R. Tolkien, The Hobbit, or There and Back Again

Florence Nightingale
“Women never have a half-hour in all their lives (excepting before or after anybody is up in the house) that they can call their own, without fear of offending or of hurting someone. Why do people sit up so late, or, more rarely, get up so early? Not because the day is not long enough, but because they have 'no time in the day to themselves.' 1852”
Florence Nightingale

Terry Pratchett
“And it be well for a knowlessman that he should not be here, for he would be taken from this place and his gaskin slit, his moules shown to the four winds, his welchet torn asunder with many hooks and his figgin placed upon a spike (...)”
Terry Pratchett, Guards! Guards!

John Scalzi
“Here's a quick rule of thumb: Don't annoy science fiction writers. These are people who destroy entire planets before lunch. Think of what they'll do to you.”
John Scalzi

message 3: by Kelly

Kelly Nah, I'd like my want to read sorted by genre. ie "Kelly, what are you in the mood to read today?" When I "want to read" a series, usually I just click on book one.

Darlene Dear Goodreads,

What Sparrow said.

Sincerely, Darlene.

Sparrow Alden Dear Goodreads, please sort my 'want to read' by series groups, in the author's preferred reading order. Then, if I ever get to Book 1, give me a little pop up window and ask if the others of that series or that author should remain in my 'want to read'. Then, in all your spare time, please cross-reference with audiobooks currently available on Overdrive, thanks! Cordially, Sparrow
