I like to explore. Books, ideas, and beautiful places. My happiest days are spent discovering a new trail in the woods, a new book, or the thread of an idea as it becomes a story.

As an electrical engineer and a former journalist, I have one foot in both worlds, bringing together the wonders of the technical world and the stories that explore them.

Of course I'd love to go to Tolkien's Middle-earth and visit the shire and Rivendell. And it would require that I be exceptionally brave but trying out the multiple universes of Dark Matter by Blake Crouch would be something everyone should try once in their lifetime. Isn't it? (less)

THE STORM launches today!

I'm happy to announce the final instalment of the Gatherer series, a story of redemption and technology gone wrong.

THE STORM is the last chance for inventor Storm Freeman and her companion Maria to put an end to the Gatherer.

In the words of an early reader:

"They are truly wonderful, fully realized, robust, powerful, fully human, fully extraordinary women characters in a way that works for the ge Read more of this blog post »

I am a big fan of Elena Taylor's fiction. I've read almost all of the books in her previous mystery series so was excited to see what she would do with a new stand alone.

From the first moment, the tension in this suspense novel is taut. The setting i
