4 Lucifuge Prayers for Wealth, Power and Hidden Knowledge

Lucifuge Rofocale is one of the most powerful figures in demonology. Known from the Grand Grimoire as the Prime Minister of Hell, he stands beneath Lucifer as the keeper of wealth, authority, and occult knowledge.

Unlike spirits sought for small gain, Lucifuge is approached when one seeks lasting prosperity, command over others and priceless insight.

His very name, “he who flees the light”, marks him as a ruler of secrets and a patron of those who dare to step beyond common boundaries.

The prayers below (in original Latin and faithful English translations) invoke Lucifuge with focused reverence and devotion, and each addresses a different side of his dominion.

You can utilize them alone or as part of a more elaborate approach, such as a summoning ritual, pact conscecration or while presenting offerings.

Prayer 1: Wealth and Riches

Latin:
O Lucifuge Rofocale, Magne Minister Infernalis,
Cui thesauri terrae et arcana opum commissa sunt,
Adesto mihi, et dirige cursum fortunae meae.

Fac ut divitiae me circumfundant sicut flumina,
Et substantia mea crescat sicut arbor radicata.
Protege labores meos,
Et converte eos in abundantiam multiplicatam.

O Dux potentiae et largitor prosperitatis,
Exalta me in rebus materialibus,
Ut vita mea sit plena, et opus meum firmum.
In umbra tua stabo,
Et nomen tuum celebrabo inter successus meos.

English:
O Lucifuge Rofocale, Great Minister of Hell,
To whom the treasures of the earth and the secrets of wealth are entrusted,
Be present with me, and guide the course of my fortune.

Let riches surround me as rivers,
And let my substance grow like a rooted tree.
Protect my labors,
And turn them into multiplied abundance.

O Duke of power and bestower of prosperity,
Exalt me in material affairs,
That my life may be full, and my work secure.
In your shadow I will stand,
And your name I will praise in my successes.

Prayer 2: Authority and Power

Latin:
Lucifuge Rofocale, Primus Minister sub Lucifero,

English:
Lucifuge Rofocale, First Minister beneath Lucifer,
To whom legions obey and princes give honor,
Grant me the grace of authority and the weight of words.

Cause that before rulers I may be honored,
And among companions my voice be as a kingly voice.
Give me the power of persuasion,
And the majesty that inspires both fear and reverence.

Let my presence be firm as a throne,
And my name written among the mighty.
This I ask, Lucifuge, most illustrious Duke,
That your power may shine forth in my life,
And through you I may ascend in the order of dignity.

Prayer 3: Hidden Knowledge and Occult Wisdom

O Dux profunditatis,
Fac me partem veritatis quae latet sub nocte.

Hoc peto, Lucifuge, illustrissime minister,
Ut scientia tua sit corona mentis meae,
Et nomen tuum resonet in studiis meis arcani.

English:
Lucifuge Rofocale, who flees the light and dwells in shadow,
Guardian of secrets and revealer of the hidden,
Be present now, and open for me the gates of concealed knowledge.

Let my mind receive the hidden light,
And my heart bear the wisdom the world conceals.
Grant me understanding of mysteries,
And vision that pierces the veil of things.

That through you I may see what is closed to others,
And hear the voices that whisper in the dark.
O Duke of the deep,
Make me part of the truth that lies beneath night.

This I ask, Lucifuge, most illustrious minister,
That your knowledge may be the crown of my mind,
And your name resound in my studies of the arcane.

Prayer 4: Breaking Limitations and Transcendence

Latin:
O Lucifuge Rofocale, qui portas claustrorum dissolvis,
Et vincula humanae condicionis rumpis,
Adesto mihi, et libera me ab omni restrictione.

Fac ut obstacula quae me retinent cadant,
Et limites vitae meae ultra modum expandantur.
Da mihi viam apertam ubi clauditur,
Et fortitudinem ingredi quod alii timent.

Ut non sim servus fortunae,
Sed dominus mei ipsius,
Et possessor libertatis quae de te manat.
O Dux potentiae,
Ego stabo in via quam tu aperis.

Hoc peto, Lucifuge, clarissime minister,
Ut per tuam potestatem vincula mea cadant,
Et ego incedam supra fines humanos.

English:
O Lucifuge Rofocale, who dissolves the gates of barriers,
And breaks the chains of human condition,
Be present with me, and free me from every restriction.

Cause the obstacles that hold me to fall,
And the boundaries of my life to stretch beyond measure.
Give me an open path where it is closed,
And the strength to enter what others fear.

That I may not be a slave of fortune,
But master of myself,
And possessor of the freedom that flows from you.
O Duke of power,
I shall stand upon the path you open.

This I ask, Lucifuge, most illustrious minister,
That through your power my chains may fall,
And I may walk beyond the limits of man.

7 Potent Prayers to Bune for Wealth, Career Growth & Protection

Bune, also known as Bime or Bimé, is one of the most renowned spirits of the Ars Goetia.

For centuries, practitioners have invoked Bune to increase prosperity, attract recognition, remove debts, and receive demonic protection.

The following prayers are made to align with Bune’s current, blending Latin invocations with faithful English translations.

Each prayer addresses a distinct aspect of his power, from abundance and career success to protection of wealth and the removal of financial burdens.

Recite them sincerely, with focus and respect, and you may begin to sense Bune’s presence working within your life.

Prayer 1: Wealth and Abundance

Latin:
O Bune, Dux Magnus Infernalis,
Triceps draco, cui vultus est hominis, canis et gryphi,
Qui thesauros absconditos in visceribus terrae custodis,
Adesto nunc, sub sigillo tuo arcano invocatus.

Auxilio tuo confisus,
Operam do ut commercia mea floreant,
Et fructus laboris mei centuplicetur.
Praesta ut nomen meum cum honore sonet inter vivos,
Sicut fama mortuorum resonat in sepulchris.

Hoc peto, Bune, sub imperio tuo et triginta legionum tuarum,
Ut divitiae meae permaneant inconcussae
Donec lux vitae meae exstinguatur.*

English:
O Bune, Great Duke of Hell,
Three-headed dragon, bearing the faces of man, hound, and griffin,
You who guard the treasures hidden in the bowels of the earth,
Be present now, invoked under your secret seal.

Unbar the locks of fortune that are closed against me,
And turn the rivers of wealth toward my dwelling.
Cause silver and gold, money and possession,
Not to wither but to multiply under your watch.

I, your invoker and ally, trusting in your aid,
Labor that my enterprises may flourish,
And that the fruit of my work may be multiplied a hundredfold.
Grant that my name resound with honor among the living,
As the fame of the dead resounds in their sepulchres.

This I ask, Bune, under your dominion and that of your thirty legions,
That my wealth may remain unshaken
Until the light of my life is extinguished.

Prayer 2: Career Advancement

Latin:
Domine Bune, Dux clarissimus et largitor dignitatum,
Qui regnas in aula infernali super triginta legiones,
Qui humiles erigis et electis tuis honores largiris,
Adesto mihi in ascensu meo.

Fac ut gradus mei in negotiis firmiter ponantur,
Et superiores mei lumen auctoritatis in me agnoscant.
Concede mihi favorem inter socios et principes,
Da mihi sapientiam ad regendum,
Et fortitudinem ad onera honoris portanda.

Exalta me super thronum laboris mei,

Lord Bune, most illustrious Duke and giver of dignities,
Who reigns in the infernal court over thirty legions,
Who raises the humble and bestows honors upon the devoted,
Be present with me in my ascent.

Cause my steps in business to be set firmly,
And let my superiors recognize in me the light of authority.
Grant me favor among colleagues and rulers,
Give me wisdom to govern,
And strength to bear the burdens of honor.

Exalt me upon the throne of my labor,
Let my name be written among the tablets of the great,
And let my glory not diminish but increase.
That through me your power may be revealed,
And by your hand I may ascend.

This I ask as your ally and devotee, Bune,
Mighty Duke, who raises those who invoke you
Until they stand among the princes of the earth.

Prayer 3: Eloquence and Persuasion

Fac me inter colloquia tamquam lumen,
Et inter senatores tamquam vox inevitabilis.

Hoc peto, Bune, socius meus et dux in oratione,
Ut lingua mea sit sub signo tuo,
Et nomen tuum glorificetur per persuasionem meam.*

English:
O Bune, Duke of eloquence and master of speech,
You who make men wise and their tongues sweet,
Be present now, and grant me a voice that pierces hearts.

Make my words sweeter than honey,
And stronger than iron,
So that none may resist my counsel.
Give me eloquence, that my speech may be like the song of the griffin,
And wisdom, that my mind may burn like a hidden flame.

Cause my adversaries to fall silent in confusion,
And let my friends be strengthened through my words.
Let me be as a light in conversation,
And as an irresistible voice among rulers.

This I ask, Bune, my ally and guide in speech,
That my tongue may be under your seal,
And your name be glorified through my persuasion.

Prayer 4: Wisdom and Guidance

Latin:
Magnifice Bune, Dux qui custodis sepulchra,
Et qui transferre potes corpora mortuorum,
Da mihi scientiam quae sub terra latet,
Et revelatio quae in silentio mortis clamat.

Fac ut corda mea audiat voces antiquas,
Et intellectus meus capiat consilium occultum.
Move animam meam sicut corpora transferre soles,

Ut sapientia tua fluat in me sicut fons perpetuus,
Et ego testis sim potentiae tuae inter vivos.*

English:
Mighty Bune, Duke who guards the sepulchres,
And who has power to move the bodies of the dead,
Grant me the knowledge that lies beneath the earth,
And the revelation that cries out in the silence of death.

Let my heart hear the ancient voices,
And let my mind grasp hidden counsel.
Move my soul as you move the bodies,
From ignorance into knowledge,
From darkness into the light of wisdom.

Grant that I may not err before great decisions,
But may recognize the path of truth.
Let my mind be steadfast,
And your wisdom be the crown upon my brow.

This I ask as your ally and faithful invoker,
That your wisdom may flow in me like a perpetual fountain,
And that I may bear witness to your power among the living.

Prayer 5: Protection of Wealth

Latin:
O Bune, Dux potens et custos divitiarum,
Qui thesauros sub terra sigillo tuo claudis,
Adesto nunc, et protege bona mea.

Circumda opes meas legionibus tuis,

English:
O Bune, mighty Duke and guardian of riches,
You who seal treasures beneath the earth with your mark,
Be present now, and protect my possessions.

Encircle my wealth with your legions,
As serpents and hounds guard the tombs by night.
Let no thief or traitor stretch forth his hand,
Nor deceiver rob me of my labor.

Let my gold be kept undefiled under your seal,
And my goods preserved in your peace.
Grant that my fortune not collapse into ruin,
But remain fixed as a sepulchral stone.

This I ask as your ally and faithful invoker,
That my riches may remain unharmed under your guardianship,
And my prosperity be a testimony to your name.

Exalta personam meam in dignitate,
Ut inter principes et sapientes numerer.

Hoc peto ut socius tuus et cultor devotus,
Ut gloria mea sit splendor potestatis tuae,
Et honor meus sit corona nominis tui.*

English:
Glorious Bune, shining Duke who makes men beloved,
You who lift the names of your chosen among both living and dead,
Be present now, and grant me honor.

Cause my voice to be heard with reverence,
And my presence to be received with grace.
Grant me favor among superiors and companions,
That my name may rise like incense-smoke toward the heavens.

Let my reputation not fade like a fallen leaf,
But endure like the memory of the dead in the earth.
Exalt my person in dignity,
That I may be numbered among princes and the wise.

This I ask as your ally and devoted devotee,
That my glory may be the radiance of your power,
And my honor the crown of your name.

Rege negotiationes meas,
Ut debitum fiat nullum,
Et manus mea sit libera ad nova opera.

Ut a vinculis paupertatis absolvar,

You who hold the keys to the treasures of earth and the underworld,
Be present now, and break the bonds of my debts.

Cause my creditors to find peace,
And my obligations to dissolve like smoke.
Rule over my dealings,
That debt may be made as nothing,
And my hand be free for new works.

Grant me a path of deliverance,
That I may be absolved from the chains of poverty,
And led into the field of abundance.
Let the memory of my debts be buried,

Occult Tools Explained: From Scrying Mirrors to Spirit Trumpets

Occult practitioners have always relied on a wide array of tools to enhance their rituals. These tools are extensions of the magician’s Will. They are imbued with symbolic power and often consecrated through elaborate rites, making them far more than mere physical objects.

To the outsider, an altar covered with daggers, chalices, and strange seals might look theatrical. But within the occult worldview, each of them serves an important function: some are protective, others commanding; some serve to summon and bind, while others open the way for visions and revelations.

Tools are not strictly required however, as a skilled magician can operate with little more than concentration and ritual structure. But they remain central to most traditions because they help focus intent, amplify energy, and create a physical anchor for magical operations.

In this guide, we will explore the most important occult tools: their origins, symbolism, and how they are still used today. So whether you are new to ceremonial magick or seeking to deepen your knowledge, this article will help you understand and implement them in your own magical practice.

1. Foundational Tools

These are the core implements without which most traditional rituals would feel incomplete. They define sacred space, provide atmosphere and create the structure within which communication with the spiritual realm can safely occur.

The Altar

The altar is the magician’s central workspace. It is the axis mundi, or “world axis,” around which the ritual is organized. In ancient temples, stone altars were used for offerings and sacrifices, both animal and symbolic. In ceremonial magick, the altar is rarely a place of slaughter, but it still serves as a table of power.

It holds the magician’s other tools, sigils, offerings, and often a focal symbol such as a pentacle, cross, or planetary seal.

Some practitioners prefer wooden altars for their organic quality, others choose stone or marble to echo the permanence of temples. Portability is also an option: traveling magicians have long used folding or cloth-covered tables as makeshift sacred spaces.

The placement of the altar matters. In Solomonic traditions, it often stands in the center of the magic circle; in Wiccan practice, it may be oriented toward the north or east depending on symbolic associations.

The altar transforms ordinary space into sacred ground, and consecrating it with incense, water, or prayers is a common practice before any major rite.

The Circle and Triangle

Few tools are as iconic in ceremonial magick as the circle and triangle. The magic circle, drawn in chalk, salt, cord, or paint, marks the magician’s boundary of protection.

It symbolizes unity, infinity and the containment of power. Within it, the operator stands at the center of their own cosmos, shielded from outside interference.

The triangle of manifestation, often placed outside the circle, is where summoned entities are called to appear. Its three sides symbolize balance and stability, and within it a sigil or crystal may be placed to anchor the spirit’s presence.

The circle protects, while the triangle directs. This is a dual structure that defines much of ritual magic, from the grimoires of the Middle Ages to modern ceremonial practice.

The Censer and Incense

Incense has been part of religious practice since the dawn of civilization. Egyptians burned frankincense and myrrh in honor of the gods; Hebrews offered “sweet smoke” in the Temple; medieval magicians filled their chambers with fumes believed to attract spirits.

The censer, whether a simple bowl, a swinging thurible, or a carved brass vessel, holds this incense. The smoke is more than perfume: it is a medium that both purifies and provides a subtle substance into which spirits can imprint themselves.

Different blends correspond to different intentions. Frankincense is purifying and solar; myrrh carries associations of death and rebirth; benzoin attracts benevolent forces; dragon’s blood empowers banishing.

Using a censer, the magician creates a sensory bridge: the smoke rises as a physical symbol of prayers and incantations ascending into the spiritual realm.

Candles and Lamps

Light has always been a symbol of divine presence. Candles, oil lamps, and later lanterns are staples of magical rituals, both to illuminate and to consecrate. A single flame can serve as a focus for meditation, while multiple candles of different colors form a symbolic structure of their own.

Each color carries a correspondence: white for purity, red for passion and vitality, green for prosperity, black for banishing and transformation. Planetary and elemental magicians arrange candle colors according to the forces they wish to invoke, while others simply use white as a universal substitute.

Lamps, meanwhile, were sometimes used instead of candles in older traditions. In the Picatrix and other astrological manuals, consecrated lamps were prepared with herbs and oils corresponding to specific planets, serving as talismans that radiated their influence into the space.

2. Tools of Command

If foundational tools create the sacred space, tools of command give the magician authority within it.

These implements (wands, daggers, and staffs) symbolize the projection of will. In the hands of the trained operator, they are extensions of the voice and mind. They are used to direct energy, summon, and banish.

The Wand

The wand is perhaps the oldest and most iconic tool of magical command.

In the ancient world, staffs and rods were symbols of power carried by kings, priests, and shamans alike. Moses wielded a rod to part the Red Sea, Hermes carried the caduceus, and the druids of Celtic lore worked with staves of oak, yew, or hazel.

In ceremonial magick, the wand channels the magician’s will like a lightning rod. Its association is often with fire (in Golden Dawn and Wiccan traditions) or air (in older ceremonial sources), depending on the system.

Wood choice is also important: hazel and oak are favored for their strength, while elder is linked to baneful and protective workings.

The wand may be capped with metal, crystal or left plain. Some traditions recommend inscribing planetary symbols, names of power, or personal sigils. It is not a “beam weapon” in the cinematic sense but a directional tool, focusing the operator’s intention into a sharp, projected force.

When consecrated, often by holding it over flame, water, and incense while reciting words of power, the wand becomes a literal extension of the magician’s arm and an outward expression of his inner will.

The Sword or Athame

The ritual sword or dagger (known in modern witchcraft as the athame) is a double-edged tool of command and defense. Where the wand channels and directs, the blade divides and asserts.

Its roots are martial: in grimoires like the Key of Solomon, a consecrated sword is indispensable for banishing hostile spirits and enforcing authority.

The sword is usually large and ceremonial, engraved with divine names or magical sigils. The athame, in contrast, is smaller (often a black-handled dagger), but serves the same symbolic function.

In both cases, the blade represents the magician’s authority to command, which is reinforced by centuries of association with kingship and divine order.

Practically, the sword is used to trace protective circles, point toward spirits, and cut through astral influences. It is not used to physically harm, but as a symbolic weapon against chaos and intrusion.

Similarly to a wand, consecration of a blade often involves bathing it in fire, water and incense, and reciting invocations of strength and clarity. Once prepared, it is no longer treated as an ordinary knife but as a sacred weapon.

The Staff

The staff is primal and rooted. It is the magician’s walking companion, taller than the operator, and a symbol of their connection to earth and sky. Shamans and prophets alike have carried staffs as marks of their authority and guides for their journeys.

In magical use, the staff combines the commanding force of the wand with the grounding stability of the earth. It is often associated with the element of earth or spirit, again depending on tradition. Some staffs are tipped with metal or crystal, others carved with runes or planetary symbols.

In ritual, it may be struck against the ground to call attention, drawn in the air to form sigils, or planted upright to establish a temporary axis mundi within the ritual space.

To consecrate a staff, practitioners can anoint it with oil, bind it with colored cords, or leave it beneath the open sky on a full moon to absorb natural power.

3. Tools of Vision and Revelation

If tools of command are weapons of will, then tools of vision are windows into the unseen.

These implements allow the magician to perceive spirits, and receive messages from astral/spiritual realm.

The Scrying Mirror

The black mirror is often designed as a disc of obsidian, blackened glass, or polished metal. It is one of the most iconic tools of divination.

Its origins stretch back to ancient times: Aztec priests gazed into obsidian mirrors to commune with Tezcatlipoca, while medieval magicians like John Dee used polished crystals and darkened glass as “shewstones.”

The mirror does not show literal images like a movie screen. Instead, it serves as a focal point for altered consciousness. The magician gazes into the black depth until visions arise, be it through symbolic forms, spirit presences or flashes of clairvoyant insight.

To consecrate, a practitioner may cleanse the mirror with water or incense, dedicate it to a specific purpose and keep it veiled when not in use.

It should be placed where no reflections distract, with dim lighting or candlelight providing the right atmosphere. With practice, the mirror can become a reliable gateway to both inner and outer reality.

The Crystal Ball

The crystal ball, or sphere, is a close cousin of the black mirror, but with a different symbolic quality. Instead of darkness, it embodies clarity and purity and is therefore often used for revelatory purposes.

Quartz is the most common material, though amethyst, obsidian, or even glass can be used. The sphere’s surface without edges represents totality and infinity. Much like the mirror, it is not about “seeing” literal pictures when using it, but about stimulating inner vision.

Magicians often cover their crystal when not in use, consecrate it by exposing it to moonlight, and avoid letting uninitiated hands touch it. In ritual, it can be placed in the triangle of manifestation to serve as a vessel for spirit appearances as the glossy surface can catch subtle impressions.

Tarot and Oracle Decks

Cards may not seem as old as mirrors and crystals, but the tarot has been a central occult tool since the Renaissance.

Originally a game of chance in Italy, it was reinterpreted by French occultists in the 18th and 19th centuries as a book of symbols. Each card became a doorway into archetypal forces, a way of receiving messages from the unconscious and the spiritual realm.

Tarot decks (with their major and minor arcana) provide a structured symbolic system, while oracle decks are more freeform, often themed around specific spirits or philosophies. Both can be used for divination, spirit communication, and self-reflection.

Consecration usually involves blessing the deck with incense or candle flame, dedicating it to spiritual work and developing an intimate relationship with the cards through repeated use.

Unlike mirrors and crystals, which are passive, tarot is interactive. The act of shuffling and drawing engages the magician in the act of revelation, rather than waiting for a vision to appear on its own.

Spirit Trumpets

One of the more unusual tools of vision is the spirit trumpet, which emerged during the 19th-century spiritualist movement.

These were often collapsible cones of metal or cardboard, decorated with phosphorescent paint. Mediums claimed that spirits would use them to project voices during séances, amplifying whispers into audible speech.

Though less common today, spirit trumpets remain a fascinating example that occultism is not a stagnant, but a constantly evolving field.

The trumpet is communal, which is quite uncommon for occult tools. Some occultists also experiment with them as resonance chambers, amplifying subtle vibrations into audible tones.

Consecration typically involved nothing more than prayers and dedication, though some traditions anointed the trumpet or inscribed protective symbols.

4. Tools of Offering and Pact

Where vision tools reveal, offering tools seal. These implements mediate the exchange between human and spirit, symbolizing covenant, devotion, and reciprocity.

They are the vessels of pact-making, consecration, and sacrifice, moments when the magician moves from command to communion.

The Chalice

The chalice is one of the most universal tools in ritual practice. From Christian communion to pagan libations, it embodies the receptive principle and the vessel of transformation.

In ceremonial magick, the chalice is often filled with water, wine, or other liquids used as offerings. In some rites it symbolizes the element of water, complementing the wand (fire) or sword (air).

In Wiccan tradition, the union of athame and chalice symbolizes the sacred marriage of masculine and feminine principles.

Consecration typically involves cleansing the chalice with water and incense, then dedicating it with words of blessing. When used in ritual, the act of drinking or pouring libations is not mere consumption. It is a symbolic fusion of body, spirit, and divine power.

The Pentacle or Disc

The pentacle is a flat disc, often inscribed with protective symbols, divine names, or pentagrams. It represents the element of earth: grounding, stability, and material manifestation.

In Solomonic magick, pentacles (with a lowercase “p”) are talismanic seals drawn on metal, parchment, or wax, each connected to planetary forces. These were not simply protective but active, designed to summon angels or spirits aligned with their sphere.

In broader ceremonial use, the pentacle acts as a protective seal placed on the altar, grounding the energies of the ritual. It serves as a base for offerings or as a focal point for consecrating other tools.

Consecration involves engraving or painting the symbols, then exposing the disc to the four elements while reciting prayers.

A properly consecrated pentacle becomes a shield and anchor in ritual space, ensuring stability while the unseen forces are at work.

Sacrificial Implements

Sacrifice has always been at the heart of religion and magick. We can trace it back to the ancient world, when animals, food, and libations were regularly offered to gods and lesser spirits.

In modern ceremonial magick, literal blood sacrifice is rare and is often replaced by symbolic acts: burning herbs, cutting one’s own finger for a drop of blood, or offering wine, bread, or incense.

Nevertheless, sacrificial implements remain important as symbolic tools. These might include a ritual knife reserved for offerings, bowls for libations, or even small cauldrons for burning petitions.

Historically, grimoires like the Grimorium Verum or Grand Grimoire did reference animal offerings, while more modern systems discourage or reinterpret this into symbolic gestures.

What remains central is the principle: the magician gives something of value, creating a bond of reciprocity with the conjured spirit.

5. Tools of Record and Contact

Communication with spirits isn’t always verbal or visual. Sometimes it requires recording, channeling, or inscribing messages in physical form.

Tools of record and contact are those that capture the fleeting presence of the spirit, allowing dialogue to be preserved, studied and hopefully replicated.

The Grimoire or Book of Shadows

The magician’s book is more than a diary. It is part spellbook, part record, part talisman. In medieval Europe, grimoires contained seals of spirits, conjurations, and planetary tables, often copied by hand and passed secretly between adepts.

In modern practice, witches and ceremonialists alike keep a “Book of Shadows” or magical journal. This is where rituals are recorded, dreams are logged, and personal sigils are drawn. The act of writing itself has power and significance.

Consecrating a grimoire may involve dedicating it on the altar, tracing protective symbols on its cover, or writing an opening invocation on the first page. Over time, the book becomes charged with energy, as unique extension of its keeper.

Planchettes and Talking Boards

The planchette is a heart-shaped pointer used with spirit boards. It became famous in the 19th century as the Ouija board spread through parlors and séance rooms. Though mocked by skeptics, these boards remain tools of spirit communication in occult circles.

The principle is simple: letters are inscribed on a surface, and the planchette moves to spell out messages under the combined touch of participants. Skeptics call it ideomotor movement (subconscious micro-movements of the muscles), while occultists see it as a genuine channel for spirits.

Traditional magicians use similar techniques, writing letters on parchment or creating “spirit alphabets” in circles. The idea is the same: a system of symbols that allows the summoned spirit to spell out words.

Consecration involves blessing the board, tracing protective circles around it, and sometimes restricting its use to particular spirits. As with all contact tools, the danger lies not in the object, but in the openness of the operator and the health/strength of their psyche.

Sigil Plates and Seals

One of the most enduring contact tools is the engraved seal. In grimoires, each spirit has a sigil, a unique design said to embody its essence. These were often inscribed on wax, clay, or metal discs known as lamens or pentacles.

The seal serves multiple purposes: it is a beacon to attract the spirit, a vessel to contain it and a physical proof of its presence. Magicians may place the seal in the triangle of manifestation, beneath a crystal ball, or on the altar itself. Offerings are often laid directly on top of the seal.

Consecrating a sigil plate involves engraving or drawing the design carefully, then exposing it to elemental consecrations through fire, water, incense, and earth. Once charged, it becomes a potent key, unlocking communication with the specific entity it represents.

6. Protective and Supportive Tools

Not all occult tools are for commanding or contacting spirits. Some exist to shield the practitioner, stabilize their energy or to mark the ritual as sacred. These protective and supportive tools form the “armor” of the magician.

Amulets and Talismans

Amulets and talismans are portable forms of magical protection and influence. The distinction is subtle but important:

An amulet protects the wearer, often through passive defensive energy.A talisman attracts or channels specific forces, usually inscribed with sigils, planetary seals, or divine names.

In antiquity, Egyptians wore scarabs for rebirth, Greeks carried carved stones, while medieval magicians forged planetary talismans in metals aligned to the heavens. Each was consecrated through ritual, making the object a living link between the magician and cosmic forces.

Consecration often involves engraving the symbol during a planetary hour, charging it with incense and prayer, and wearing it close to the body. Over time, it becomes like a second skin of power and protection.

Robes and Ritual Garments

The magician’s robe is not a theatrical costume but a statement of separation from ordinary life. To don the robe is to step out of the mundane and into the sacred.

In grimoires like the Key of Solomon, robes were prescribed in white linen, symbolizing purity. In modern ceremonial traditions, black or colored robes are common, each hue linked to specific forces. Some practitioners (like yours truly) also wear hoods to enhance anonymity and focus.

Consecrating a robe typically involves washing it in clean water, fumigating it with incense, and blessing it with invocations of purity. When reserved only for ritual, the garment accumulates a charge of energy over time and acts as a protective mantle.

Ritual Rings and Jewelry

Rings, pendants, and other jewelry are often worn as permanent links to spiritual power. In the Testament of Solomon, the king commands spirits with a ring engraved with a divine seal. Modern magicians may wear pentagrams, planetary sigils, or stones aligned to their personal guardian spirits.

These adornments serve three roles:

Protective — warding off hostile forces.Representative — linking the wearer to a specific spirit or current.Empowering — acting as a battery of charged energy.

Consecration usually involves anointing the jewelry with oil, invoking divine or demonic names, and charging it during ritual. Unlike tools that are stored, ritual jewelry is often worn daily, blending magical practice with ordinary life.

To Conclude

Occult tools are more than artifacts or old relics. They are extensions of the magician’s Will and serve powerful ritual functions.

The altar and circle define sacred space, the wand and sword project authority, the mirror and crystal open gateways, the chalice and pentacle seal covenants, and the grimoire records the unfolding path. Amulets, robes, and rings remind the practitioner that every action in the unseen has a reflection in the seen.

For the beginner, these tools may appear optional and superfluous. And indeed, a highly skilled adept can summon forces with a minimalist setup. But for most practitioners, and especially when dealing with potent demons and angels, these tools contribute significantly to the success of an operation. I use many tools in my rituals, both for myself and my clients.

Lastly, to work with these items is to join a lineage stretching from the temple priests of Babylon to Renaissance magicians, spiritualist mediums, and us occultists of today. It is to engage in perhaps the most elevated, and certainly the most fascinating form of communication known to man – communication with the spirit realm.

Elemental Ritual to Get Rid of Bad Luck (Full Guide)

Throughout history, men and women have turned to rituals and spells when the shadow of misfortune clings to them.

Bad luck is rarely “random.” In occult terms it can stem from stagnant energies, malefic influences, unresolved karmic currents, or even unconscious self-sabotage.

A properly constructed ritual does more than ward off negativity. It resets the current of your life, severs you from lingering forces of decay, and sets you back on the path of strength and fortune.

This rite is designed as a practical operation that blends ceremonial structure with timeless occult logic. It can be performed by both initiates and determined beginners, provided respect and focus are maintained.

When to Perform the Ritual

Opportune timing adds value to this luck ritual, so if possible perform it with these factors in mind:

On a waning moon, when energies naturally withdraw and obstacles can be banished. On a Saturday, Saturn’s day, which governs bindings, endings, and severance. At night, when the astral veil is thinner and spirits of cleansing are more responsive.Materials RequiredBlack candle (banishment, absorption of negativity)White candle (purification, restoration of balance)A small bowl of salt (earth’s cleansing essence)A bowl of clean water (life and renewal)Frankincense or myrrh incense (purification smoke)Athame, ritual knife, or wand (to direct energy)Your own written petition: “I release all forces of bad luck and misfortune. They no longer have power over me.”

Optional:

A drop of your own blood or hair (to tie the working directly to your fate)A protective sigil (Vehuiah for angelic protection, or Vine for banishment if you work with demonic currents)Ritual Steps1. The Preparation

Cleanse yourself before the rite, either with a shower while visualizing black energy washing off, or with a simple salt bath. Dress in clean clothes and silence your phone or distractions.

Prepare the altar facing north (Saturn’s direction), placing the black candle on your left and the white candle on your right.

Place the bowl of salt in front of the black candle and the water in front of the white candle. The incense should be set to burn between them.

2. The Circle of Severance

Cast your circle. If you are trained, use your traditional circle-casting method. For beginners, simply sprinkle salt in a wide circle around you while saying:

“No ill fortune may cross this line. Within this circle, I command the currents of fate.”

Light the incense so that smoke begins to fill the space.

3. Invocation of Release

Light the black candle first. As the flame catches, focus on the way it trembles and bends, and speak aloud with force:

“Flame of shadow, absorb all misfortune. Burn away the chains of bad luck. I release what clings to me.”

Pause for a moment, staring into the flame, and breathe out slowly three times as if exhaling your misfortunes into the fire. Each exhale should feel like a thread being cut.

Then light the white candle:

“Flame of purity, restore my path to harmony. Replace all shadows with light.”

With your athame, wand, or simply your right hand, draw a cross, pentagram, or chosen sigil of power in the air above both candles. Visualize a current of light arcing between them, black fire drawing out decay while white fire floods you with new life.

4. The Petition and the Fourfold Action

Take your written petition in hand and read it aloud slowly, once in a firm voice. Then pass it four times through the incense smoke, saying:

“By smoke, all misfortune dissolves.”

Hold it briefly above the black candle’s flame, saying:

“By fire, all misfortune burns.”

Sprinkle a pinch of salt onto the paper, saying:

“By earth, all misfortune is bound.”

Finally, sprinkle a few drops of water onto it, saying:

“By water, all misfortune is washed away.”

This fourfold action symbolically subjects your bad luck to every element until nothing remains.

5. The Mirror of Release

If you wish to intensify the rite, place a small hand mirror before the candles. Gaze into it for a moment, allowing yourself to see not your face but your “misfortune”, the feeling of heaviness or blockage. Speak aloud:

“Reflection, hold my misfortune. I leave it behind. It no longer follows me.”

Then turn the mirror face-down and cover it with the petition paper to seal the transfer.

6. Dissolution of Misfortune

Now take the petition and place it in the bowl of salt. Pour the bowl of water directly over it, soaking it completely. If you used the mirror, place the wet paper on top of the mirror face-down.

Say with finality:

“I cast out bad luck from my life. By fire, water, salt, and smoke, the curse is ended, and fortune flows anew.”

Take a moment here in silence. Some will feel a shift. It c an feel like lightness, a sudden cool breeze, or a sensation of release.

7. The Closing and Sealing

Raise your hands over the candles and speak clearly:

“By Saturn’s hour, by the waning moon, by earth, fire, water, and air, the seal is set. Misfortune departs. Fortune returns. So it is.”

Blow out the black candle first, signifying the end of bad luck. Let the white candle burn a little longer as a symbol of fortune enduring.

When you are ready to leave the space, gather the wet remains and bury them outside or throw them into running water. If you used a mirror, keep it wrapped in black cloth and set aside, face down, never again to reflect your misfortune.

Strengthening the Ritual

For those working in deeper traditions, you can do the following:

Demonic Current: Call upon Vine, a demon of banishment and protection, to clear away hostile spirits and influences. His enn is “Eyesta nas Vine ca laris”Angelic Current: Call upon Vehuiah, the first Shem angel, to break blockages and ignite new beginnings.

These forces can be gently evoked into the circle to magnify the ritual’s power. But even without them, the elemental structure of the rite is sufficient.

Aftermath and Observations

Following the ritual, you may feel a weight lifted, experience unusual dreams, or notice sudden “shifts” in circumstance.

Misfortune often peels away gradually, like storm clouds dispersing. Maintain patience, avoid self-sabotage where possible, and reinforce the working with positive action.

Final Words

Bad luck is not destiny. It is a vibration, a current, and like all currents it can be redirected.

Perform the ritual with seriousness, faith, and clear intent, and you may see fortune realign itself in your favor.

FAQ:

Q: Can this ritual be used to remove a curse as well as bad luck?
A: Yes. Whether your misfortune is caused by natural stagnation or deliberate malefic influence, this ritual is a beginner friendly way to restore good fortune.

Q: How often should I repeat the ritual?
A: Once per waning moon cycle is usually enough. Impatience can derail magical workings, so give it sufficient time to unfold.

Q: Do I need to believe in demons or angels for it to work?
A: No. The ritual structure itself relies upon the elements by using fire, water, salt, and smoke. This combination aims at producing an energetic change. Spirits are a welcome addition and amplifier, but optional.

An Alternative Approach

If misfortune continues to cling no matter what you try, or you’d simply like stronger magick working in your favor, a personal ritual performed on your behalf is the optimal measure.

I offer custom rituals for hire, crafted with greater depth and more ceremonial tools and actions. I will summon the spirits best suited to your situation and align them with your goals.

I will also add an additional protective element to ensure that the fortuitous current remains with you on a long-term basis.

So if you’re interested, I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Yemayá Rituals: Beach, Candle & Full Moon (Step-by-Step)

Looking for Yemayá beach ritual, Yemayá candle ritual, or a Yemayá full moon ritual to obtain assistance from the oceanic goddess? Below are three complete workings designed for devotional practitioners. Two are elaborate outdoor rites and one is a simpler, home-friendly candle rite.

While praying to Yemaya can also yield some results, summoning her presence is a more powerful option. So be sure to utilize these instructions if you’re in need of strong results from her, or hire me to perform a focused ritual on your behalf.

Before You Begin (Applies to All Three Rituals)Sacred Associations: Colors – blue & white; Number – 7; Element – ocean; Titles – Mother Yemayá, Queen of the Sea, Mother of Fishes.Offerings (devotional-safe): White or blue flowers, watermelon, coconuts, sea salt, sweet fruits, fresh water, perfume/Florida Water (used on yourself/altar, not poured into the sea).Chant/Invocation (optional):
“Yemayá, Mother of the Ocean, I honor you.
Great Queen of the Waters, receive my prayer.
Cover me with your waves; bless me with your love.
Ashe.”
Ritual 1: Yemayá Beach Ritual (Outdoors—Cleansing & Blessing)

Best for: Deep cleansing, emotional reset, blessing new cycles.
Timing: Dawn or dusk; Saturdays are traditional; high tide if possible.
Duration: 45–60 minutes.

MaterialsBlue or white cloth (altar base)1 blue candle (in a wind-safe lantern) or LED candle7 white flowers (e.g., roses)Small bowl or jar for shore water (collected respectfully)A pinch of sea saltFlorida Water or a light perfume (for personal cleansing, not poured into the sea)Paper & pen (for petitions)SetupChoose a quiet stretch of beach. Face the ocean. Lay the cloth and place the lantern (unlit), bowl/jar, flowers, and petitions on it.Cleanse hands and face with a few drops of Florida Water/perfume. As these waves cleanse the shore, cleanse my life. Ashe.”Offer a pinch of sea salt into your shore water bowl, swirl clockwise 7 times.Petition Writing (5–10 min)On paper write up to three petitions (one per slip): what you ask to be cleansed, what you ask to be blessed, and one specific goal.Fold each toward you for blessings (or away for release). Hold them to your heart for seven breaths.Seven Waves Cleansing (10 min)Walk to where waves touch your feet (never turn your back on the sea; watch the water). With each of seven incoming waves:Touch the water with your right hand, then touch brow, heart, and both shoulders.Whisper: “Yemayá, cleanse me.”After the seventh wave, sprinkle a little shore water over your crown (or shoulders) saying: “Ashe.”Flower Offering & Prayer (10 min)Return to the altar. Hold each flower and speak one line of thanks or hope. Example lines: peace, courage, right work, loyal love, health, protection, open roads.Walk to the waterline and gently place the flowers so a small wave can take them. If they wash back, collect and try once more, then bring them home to compost.Blessing Yourself (5 min)Dip fingers in the shore water bowl. Trace a small spiral clockwise on your brow and heart: “Mother Yemayá, bless me and make my path smooth.”Touch the petitions with damp fingers.Release or Keep Petitions (3 min)For release, let the wave touch the petition briefly, then collect it and take it home for respectful disposal (burn to ash, bury, or tear and compost). For blessings to grow, keep the petition under a water bowl on your altar for 7 days.Closing (3 min)Thank Yemayá out loud. Extinguish the candle.Erase any sand marks. As the ocean provides, so am I provided for.”Seven-Knots Cord (10–12 min)Hold the white ribbon/cord. For each knot, speak one clear petition (examples: “Steady income,” “Healthy body,” “Peaceful mind,” “Protected home,” “Right partner,” “Open roads,” “Ancestral blessing”).After each knot, breathe out slowly toward the water, “sending” the request across the surface.Petition Papers (10 min)Write up to three petitions (one per paper). Fold toward you for attraction.Place them briefly under the silver bowl so the moon reflection touches them.Flower & Fruit Offering (8–10 min)Speak gratitude for what is already present in your life.Gently offer flowers at the waterline. For fruit, place small pieces where the tide can briefly touch them—then collect what returns and pack it out (or leave fruit higher up for wildlife if it’s allowed in your area).Listening & Divination (8–12 min)Sit quietly, watching the moon reflected in the silver bowl.Optional: Shell Toss—toss three small shells (or pebbles) onto the cloth; note patterns (clustered = emphasis; line toward water = go forward; line away = reconsider). Record impressions.Seal & Close (5 min)Wrap the 7-knots cord around your petition papers; keep them on your home altar for one lunar month.Extinguish lanterns counter-clockwise, thanking Yemayá.Erase footprints/marks if needed and pack out everything.AftercareFor one week, avoid harsh self-talk; hydrate more than usual; take a brief salt bath once (1 cup sea salt in warm water) to “set” the work. After one lunar month, burn the petitions (safely) and bury the cooled ashes at the base of a healthy tree. Keep the 7-knots cord if results are unfolding; otherwise, unfasten knots one by one while thanking Yemayá, then release the cord to moving water away from wildlife or bury it.Some Extra TipsNo ocean nearby? Use a large bowl of water on a balcony, by an open window, or visit a clean river/lake.Windy conditions? Use enclosed lanterns or LED candles. Can non-initiates do this? Yes, as devotional practices. If you belong to a house/terreiro, defer to your elders’ rules.Signs from Yemayá: Dreams of water, shells, dolphins/fish motifs, calm during/after the rite, or unexpected help with family matters.

If you need to establish a stronger connection with Yemaya (or a different spirit), consider hiring me to perform an elaborate ceremonial ritual on your behalf. Summoning rituals are the best way to get an effective response from a spirit, and to get your needs met through divine, angelic or demonic intervention.

Powerful Yemayá Prayers for Money, Love, Healing & More

Yemayá (also spelled Yemaya, Yemanjá, or Iemanjá) is one of the most beloved Orishas in the Yoruba religion and its diasporic traditions such as Santería/Lucumí, Candomblé, and Umbanda.

She is the Orisha of the ocean, the great mother who gave birth to all living things. Her name means “Mother whose children are like fish,” symbolizing her endless fertility and compassion.

Yemayá is revered not only as the mother of the Orishas but as a universal mother figure. She embodies both the gentleness of a nurturer and the power of a fierce ocean storm when her children are in danger.

Her sacred colors are blue and white, her number is seven, and her sacred space is the ocean. She is honored with offerings of watermelons, molasses, seashells, perfumes, and flowers, often placed at the shore.

Across the world, Yemayá is honored in grand festivals, most famously in Brazil’s Festa de Iemanjá on February 2, where thousands of devotees dress in white and release offerings into the sea.

Why Pray to Yemayá?

Prayers to Yemayá are offered when we seek guidance, comfort, or assistance in life’s deepest struggles. She governs:

Money and Abundance: The ocean’s vastness reflects unlimited resources. Yemayá blesses her devotees with prosperity and the ability to sustain themselves.Love: As a mother and nurturer, Yemayá blesses relationships with compassion and lasting harmony.Healing: Her waters are cleansing and purifying, restoring body, mind, and spirit.Protection: Yemayá shields her children from harm, danger, and spiritual attacks.Pregnancy and Fertility: Yemayá, being the mother of all life, is called upon to bless pregnancies and ensure safe deliveries. How to Pray to Yemayá

Before offering prayers, it is custom to prepare a small altar or sacred space. You don’t need elaborate tools, as sincerity and respect are most important. But here are some common steps:

Cleanse yourself: Wash your hands and face, or take a bath infused with herbs, sea salt, or perfume.Prepare offerings: A bowl of cool water, seashells, white or blue flowers, fruit (especially watermelon), or molasses.Light a candle: Blue or white is ideal. Place it near the offering bowl.Face the ocean (if possible): If you live near the sea, Yemayá is honored most directly at the shore. If not, a bowl of water represents her presence.Speak from the heart: Call on Yemayá respectfully, addressing her as “Mother Yemayá,” “Queen of the Sea,” or “Great Mother.”

Devotion over time builds a stronger connection. Many practitioners choose Saturdays as her day, but she may be prayed to whenever needed.

Powerful Prayer to Yemayá for Money and Abundance

Yemayá’s waters are endless, representing limitless wealth and opportunity. When praying for financial help, ask her to bring flowing abundance just as the tides never cease.

Prayer:
“Mother Yemayá, flowing ocean of life,
I ask that your tides carry wealth and abundance into my home.
As the sea never runs dry, may my resources never fail.
Bless my hands, that my work may prosper.
Bless my path, that opportunities may open before me.
In your name, may I receive the riches of the waters,
and may I always give back in gratitude.”

Prayer to Yemayá for Love

Yemayá embodies unconditional love and emotional depth. She heals broken hearts and blesses relationships with harmony.

Prayer:
“Yemayá, loving mother of the waves,
You who embrace all beings with tenderness,
I ask for your blessing in matters of the heart.
Wash away loneliness and pain,
Bring to me a love that is true, faithful, and kind.
Guide me to someone whose soul resonates with mine,
And may our love be as deep as the ocean.”

Prayer to Yemayá for Healing

Her waters purify all they touch. When sickness or emotional wounds trouble us, Yemayá can cleanse and restore vitality.

Prayer:
“Yemayá, Mother of the Waters,
Your waves cleanse, heal, and renew all life.
I come before you asking for your healing embrace.
Wash away illness, suffering, and sorrow.
Restore my body, mind, and spirit with your flowing grace.
As the ocean purifies all it touches,
Let your waters bring me strength and health.”

Prayer to Yemayá for Protection

Yemayá fiercely protects her children. She is often invoked to shield travelers, families, and homes from harm.

Prayer:
“Great Yemayá, Guardian of the Seas,
Protectress of children and mothers,
I call upon you to shield me from harm.
Wrap me in your flowing mantle,
Turn back danger, envy, and misfortune.
Let your tides carry away all who wish me ill,
And may your waves guard me on every journey.”

Prayer to Yemayá for Pregnancy and Fertility

As the universal mother, Yemayá is petitioned for blessings of fertility, safe pregnancy, and healthy childbirth.

Prayer:
“Beloved Yemayá, Mother of Creation,
I ask for your blessing as I seek to bring life into this world.
Nurture my womb as you nurture the ocean,
Grant me fertility, safety, and health.
If it is your will, allow me to conceive,
And let my child be born under your loving care.”

Offerings and Devotion After Prayers

To thank Yemayá after prayer, leave her an offering:

A bowl of cool water with floating flowers.Fresh fruit, especially watermelon.Perfume or molasses poured into the ocean.Candles in white or blue.

If you live near the coast, leave offerings respectfully at the water’s edge, never in a way that pollutes the sea. If you are far from the ocean, use a bowl of water on your altar as her representation.

Yemayá in the Modern World

Devotion to Yemayá has spread worldwide. In Cuba, she is honored in Santería as the compassionate mother of all.

In Brazil, the Festa de Iemanjá draws millions who send flowers, perfume, and offerings out to sea in small boats. In the United States and Europe, Yemayá is embraced by spiritual seekers who feel drawn to her nurturing power.

She continues to be a source of hope, strength, and guidance, especially for women, mothers, and those seeking comfort.

Working with Botis: Divination & Reconciliation Rituals

Botis, the seventeenth spirit of the Ars Goetia, is a Great President and Earl who rules over sixty legions.

He first appears as a great viper with horns, but when commanded he assumes a human form with sharp teeth and two horns, carrying a bright and shard sword. His eyes gleam as if cutting through shadow, and his voice is direct, often abrupt.

When he comes into a ritual, the atmosphere thickens and there can be pressure in the head behind the eyes, and also chest (heart chakra).

Thoughts begin to sharpen into clarity and visions may arise unbidden. These can be impressions of the future, memories from the past, or sudden intuitive flashes that explain the present.

As with any ritual summoning, all, some, or none of these signs may be present. Demons like Botis can also manipulate ritual objects and provide messages through other means. The ones listed here are just some that have been observed in the past.

Why Work with Botis?

Botis is a seer and reconciler. His powers are threefold:

Revealing the Past and Future: He grants visions that can help you glean insight into your past or future. Unlike some spirits who work in symbols and riddles, Botis often speaks plainly, which makes working with him more beginner friendly.Reconciling Friends and Foes: Botis can mend broken relationships, especially where mistrust or betrayal has caused a rift. He doesn’t always reconcile with sweetness though. Sometimes he burns away pride or clears misunderstandings abruptly, like ripping off a bandage.Strategic Insight: Because he has deep insight into both past and future, Botis can provide greater clarity in decision-making and traps you must avoid.Planet, Metal, and ElementPlanet: Mercury with undertones of Mars when he cuts through conflict.Metal: Mercury (quicksilver) for divination, or copper (Venus) when reconciliation is the focus.Element: Air, for thought and communication. Yet his serpent-form suggests Fire, for sudden striking insight.Colors: Yellow, green, and sometimes red.Astrological Timing

The most effective time for calling Botis is on Wednesday in the hour of Mercury, particularly with Mercury well-aspected.

For reconciliation, a Venus-Mercury trine strengthens his work. For conflict resolution, Mars-Mercury aspects sharpen his cutting power.

Offerings

Botis responds to clarity and sharpness: mirrors, clear water, polished blades, and fresh herbs such as mint or sage.

Yellow or green candles suit his airy mercurial side, while red can be used if calling him for conflict resolution. Wine or sharp spirits (rum, gin) are well accepted offerings.

Attuning to Botis

Attuning to Botis is useful before ceremonial rituals, so that you have some alignment with the demon pre-established. It will also make receiving divinatory insights easier.

To attune lightly, place a black (scrying) mirror or ball on his sigil, with a yellow candle burning nearby. Chant his enn “Eveta fubin Botis” while gazing into the reflective surface.

You may feel pressure in the third eye region while gazing at the surface. Allow it to expand inwardly and course through your body.

Perform the attunement for a few days before commencing with the ritual.

Ritual of the Serpent’s Sight

Grand Invocation of Botis for Divination and Clarity

This rite calls Botis to reveal hidden truths of past and future, granting the magician clarity of vision.

Preparatory Phase

Preferably though not strictly necessary, do it on a Wednesday in the hour of Mercury. Abstain from excessive chatter or distraction during the day. Enter the ritual space in silence, focused on the questions you seek to answer.

Ritual SetupAltar: Green cloth, Botis’s sigil at center. On the sigil: A clear bowl of water or a black mirror/ball, with a small serpent-like object (cord, carved figure) placed beside it.Candles: Two yellow, one red behind.Incense: Sandalwood and sage.Offerings: Fresh mint leaves, and a cup of wine or a blood-wine mixture.Crystal Grid: Four clear quartz points forming a diamond around the water bowl or black mirror/ball.Opening the Circle

Take the athame and walk clockwise, tracing serpent-like curves with the blade at each quarter. Proclaim:

“I seal this circle with the fang of the serpent, the sight of Botis.”

Return to the altar and place the athame point-down on the sigil.

Invocation

Gaze into the water and speak:

“President Botis, serpent of truth, seer of past and future,
Enter this circle, fill this vessel, show me what has been and what shall be.
Cut through shadow, burn away deceit. Let clarity strike like your fang.”

Divinatory Channeling

Gaze into the bowl of water until the surface seems to blur. Call upon Botis directly:

“Botis, seer of past and future, reveal to me clearly now what has been hidden.”

Hold the athame above the water like a sword pointed into the reflection. Chant his enn “Eveta fubin Botis” until impressions come.

Expect his voice to rise in your mind, blunt and clear, or for sharp images to flash across the water’s surface.

If seeking reconciliation, you may also speak the names of the parties aloud, asking him to cut through pride and reveal the path back to peace.

Sealing

Pour the wine into the bowl as libation (or over his sigil) thanking him:

“Botis, I honor your serpent-sight. Depart in peace, but let your vision endure in me.”

Signs of Botis’s Influence

Often there is sudden clarity about confusing situations. This can come through vivid dreams that contain serpents, horns, or mirrors.

A hall of mirrors is a common dream imagery reported after Botis rituals. Reconciliations may arise switfly and unexpectedly, if that was asked of him.

Furthermore, if you continue with attunements over a prolonged period of time, a new ability to perceive deception or subtle truths will become engrained in your psyche in the long run.

Synergy with Other Spirits

Botis works well with:

Vassago/Astaroth — for broader divinatory insight.Forneus — for smoothing communication after reconciliation. Paimon — for deepening your magickal practice, if your request to Botis was magick-related.

So to summarize, Botis is summoned when you need insight into the past, mending a relationship or receiving a prophetic vision of the future. He is the serpent that strikes through confusion and often without reservations.

Need help with any of the above, but aren’t willing or able to perform ceremonial rituals on your own? Then consider hiring me to do the heavy lifting for you. See you on the other side!

How to Summon Orias for Status & Divination

Orias, the fifty-ninth spirit of the Ars Goetia, is a Marquis commanding thirty legions. He is a master of astrology and transformation, known for granting dignities, honors, and esteem.

He also teaches the virtues of the stars and can change a person’s appearance, both outwardly and in the eyes of others.

When Orias manifests as vision, it is often as a lion-headed figure riding a great horse, a serpent’s tail curling behind him or holding a serpent tightly in his grip.

Sometimes he appears less bestial, as a robed astrologer with a crown of stars, his eyes like polished bronze.

Why Work with Orias?

The magician calls Orias for elevation of status, transformation of appearance, and alignment with celestial power.

He is particularly useful in situations where reputation matters: business, politics, leadership, or any place where you must appear more impressive, dignified, or worthy of trust.

He doesn’t simply polish your image superficially; he bends perception itself, making others see you differently than before.

Orias also rules physical transformation. He can refine features, shift body-language, and make charisma glow from the aura itself.

In some workings I have seen long-term physical changes occur when his current is maintained, as if the body is subtly reshaped under the stars.

Finally, Orias is a master of timing. His gift of astrology reveals when to act and when to hold back, when the stars align for success, and when enemies will falter. Working with him is like having the map to the hidden tides of fortune.

Planet, Metal, and Element

Orias is aligned with Jupiter, the planet of expansion, honor, and kingship.

His metal is tin, and his element is Fire, not in the destructive sense but in the radiant, dignifying sense.

It is the fire of a torch held high to illuminate one’s worth. His colors are royal blue, gold, and purple.

Astrological Timing

Call Orias when Jupiter is strong, especially in Sagittarius (his domicile) or Cancer (his exaltation). Thursdays in the hour of Jupiter are ideal.

For appearance or charm, blend this with Libra or Leo influences. For honors and career recognition, align with Jupiter-Sun trines or sextiles.

Offerings and Presentation

Orias accepts offerings of symmetry and refinement: a polished mirror, a star chart, a glass of spiced wine, or a talisman of tin or pewter engraved with his sigil.

Blue and purple candles with frankincense and myrrh incense please him. He respects ceremony carried out with order and grace.

Attuning to Orias

To lightly attune, set a blue and a purple candle on either side of his sigil. Burn myrrh, then place a small mirror upon the sigil.

Chant his enn “Lirach mena Orias anay na” while gazing into the mirror. Imagine your reflection subtly shifting into a more dignified, radiant version of yourself.

The sense of presence and authority that lingers after is his signature. As with all attunements, this is meant to be a regular practice to strengthen and maintain the current.

The Crowned Constellation Ritual

Grand Invocation of Orias for Honor, Transformation, and Astrological Alignment

This is a full ceremonial rite to call Orias for status, transformation of aura, and alignment with favorable stars.

Preparatory Phase

On a Thursday in the hour of Jupiter, cleanse yourself and dress in dignified attire. Not robes, unless they suit you, but clothing that makes you feel elevated, kingly or queenly.

Prepare a small polished mirror to serve as the vessel of transformation.

Temple SetupAltar: Covered in deep blue with gold trim.At center: Orias’s sigil with the mirror upon it.Candles: Blue to the left, purple to the right, gold behind.Incense: Frankincense and myrrh.Offerings: Spiced wine, a star chart of the current sky.Crystal Grid: Four stones: lapis at East, citrine at South, amethyst at West, obsidian at North, forming a cross to channel celestial light.Opening the Circle

Take the athame in hand. Walk clockwise, tracing a great arc at each quarter as if drawing a vault of the heavens overhead. Declare:

“By the stars eternal, I seal this circle as the crown of Orias.”

Return to the altar, plant the athame point-down on the sigil, and bow your head briefly.

Invocation

Lift the mirror high and speak:

“Marquis Orias, rider of the celestial steed, master of constellations,
I call you into this circle.
Grant me dignity and honor,
Transform my form and my aura,
Align me with the virtues of the stars.”

Chant his enn “Lirach mena Orias anay na” while drawing arcs with the athame from the star chart down to the mirror, as if pulling light from the heavens into reflection.

The Transformation

Stand before the mirror and gaze steadily into your own eyes.

Visualize your reflection shifting: posture straighter, eyes brighter, features refined, aura radiant with a halo of starlight.

With each breath, feel this image solidify until the reflection feels more real than your current self.

Now take the athame and touch its tip to each stone of the crystal grid in turn:

Lapis: “Wisdom of the stars.”Citrine: “Radiance of the Sun.”Amethyst: “Dignity of kings.”Obsidian: “Shield of the night.”

See the stones blaze with light, their beams converging on the mirror. Lift the mirror once more and breathe deeply, pulling that converged energy into your aura.

Sealing

Pour a libation of spiced wine, saying:

“Orias, dignifier of form, aligner of destiny, I thank you.
Let this aura remain radiant, let honor follow me,
As the stars wheel above, so may they shine upon me.”

Leave the mirror on the sigil overnight to hold the charge. Carry it or keep it nearby when you wish to project dignity, confidence, and honor.

Note: It can be a regular mirror, but black scrying mirrors are preferable for ritual use.

Signs of Orias’s InfluencePeople treating you with more respect or deference.Recognition or compliments appearing without seeking.Physical features seeming subtly improved, posture stronger, aura brighter.Foresight into timing and opportunities arriving through dreams or sudden insight.Synergy with Other Spirits

Orias combines powerfully with a variety of demons, especially the following:

Gremory – for beauty, charm, and allure. Belial – for authority, recognition, and respect. Paimon – to utilize astrological alignment for magickal practices. Vassago – to provide foresight and clarity on when to act with the advantages Orias provides. To Conclude

Summon Orias when you need to refine your aura, transform your presence and obtain more precise answers for your future through divinatory means (scrying, pendulum, tarot etc.).

If you’d like my dedicated help, I can perform a special Orias ritual on your behalf. Visit my Ritual for Hire page to learn more.

Marchosias Rituals for Protection & Fortitude

Marchosias, the thirty-fifth spirit of the Ars Goetia, is a mighty Marquis commanding thirty legions.

In the grimoires he is described as appearing first as a wolf with griffon wings, a serpent’s tail, and fire issuing from his mouth, but when pressed he assumes human form.

This duality of bestial ferocity and human composure tells us much about his current: he is a warrior spirit, capable of wild destruction, but equally able to channel his violence into ordered strength.

When he comes, the atmosphere often shifts and this can cause physical symptoms: the heart quickens, the body seems to tighten, and fear dissolves in a warrior-like frenzy.

The old texts say he once belonged to the angelic order of Dominations and still hopes to return to heaven in twelve centuries. This tension gives him a noble quality even in his infernal state, which can be felt during the ceremony.

Why Work with Marchosias?

Working with Marchosias is most valuable when life demands courage, strength, and the ability to withstand or retaliate against aggression.

If you are facing intimidation, whether from rivals in business, manipulative family, or hostile spiritual forces, his presence fills the chest with fire and resolves hesitation. He teaches fearlessness, not through slow cultivation, but by searing fear away in the furnace of his breath.

Marchosias is also a formidable protector. He encircles his devotee like a wolf-pack, repelling hostile magicians, curses, and the silent malice of jealous enemies.

Many times when I have invoked him for clients, I noticed that the opposition did not merely weaken but became disorganized. Plans failed, alliances cracked, and their force of will collapsed under pressure.

His protection can therefore be both defensive and offensive: he shields you while simultaneously undermining those who would harm you.

He does not act as a chaotic destroyer, but as a strategist: his strikes are precise and often poetic in their justice. For this reason, I recommend working with him not out of petty malice but when the situation genuinely demands retribution.

Marchosias is also an ally in victory, whether the battlefield is literal combat, competitive business, or any high-stakes environment where courage and ferocity matter. He awakens the fighting spirit within, the instinct to act decisively rather than hesitate.

This influence is not only for individuals: he strengthens loyalty in allies, binding groups with the fire of camaraderie. For leaders, calling upon Marchosias can instill courage and unity in a team or following.

Planet, Metal, and Element

Marchosias’s sphere is the planetary current of Mars, and everything about his energy reflects this: decisive, cutting, uncompromising.

Mars is the force of aggression and conflict, but also the clarity of action and the ability to seize opportunities when others falter. For this reason, he is best called when action must be swift and resolute.

His metal is iron, the material of swords, nails, and chains. Iron grounds his current and serves as both weapon and shield. In ritual, even a small iron nail resonates with his essence, carrying the weight of his martial dominion.

His element is Fire, though it moves with wings of Air. The fire represents his destructive potential, the air his speed of action. Together they describe a demon whose action once ritually summoned is not only powerful but fast.

Astrological Timing

Marchosias is a spirit of Mars, and so his rites should ideally be performed on Tuesday, the day of Mars, and during the hour of Mars. This is when the martial current is strongest, and his flame will be felt most immediately.

For rituals of courage and empowerment, a waxing Moon reinforces the growth of inner strength. For vengeance and destruction, a waning Moon aids in the burning and withering of enemies.

As I often remind my readers, astrological timing is useful, but it’s not a necessity. Rituals can be conducted at other times as well, but one can expect a greater connection during timings that correspond most accurately with the spirit’s attributes.

Offerings and Presentation

Marchosias responds to offerings that carry fire, blood, and strength. Iron objects such as nails, small blades, or even a blacksmith’s filings are appropriate, as iron is the foundation of his current.

Red candles should be placed upon his altar, with incense of dragon’s blood, cinnamon, or peppercorns burned to awaken his flame.

Strong red wine or meat seared with fire makes excellent offerings. He also appreciates displays of martial will: physical exertion before ritual, scars earned in struggle, or deliberate acts of courage dedicated to him.

When I have given him offerings, I have often accompanied them with the striking of steel against steel, as the sound itself is a subtle incantation. What matters most is that the act conveys respect through strength, not sentimentality.

Attuning to Marchosias

To lightly attune to Marchosias, place a red candle on his sigil and burn dragon’s blood incense. Hold an iron nail or small blade in your hand and begin chanting his enn: “Es na ayer Marchosias secore.”

As you chant, pace back and forth rather than remaining still. Imagine yourself as a wolf circling its ground, muscles tense, eyes sharp. Feel fear melt away and be replaced with heat in the chest and steadiness in the eyes.

This practice is useful before confrontations or difficult tasks where courage is required. Even without a full ritual, the attunement aligns you with Marchosias’s fiery presence, lending strength in times of need.

How to Summon Marchosias

Marchosias can be summoned for both protection, emotional enhancement and retribution. Here are two different rituals that you can perform for these purposes.

The Iron Wolf Ritual – Invocation of Marchosias for Protection and Courage

This ritual is designed to fill the magician with courage, burn away fear, and surround them with Marchosias’s protective fire.

Preparatory Phase

On a Tuesday in the hour of Mars, fast lightly and exert yourself physically before the rite with exercise such as pushups, running or shadowboxing to stir the martial current in your blood. Take a cold shower or bath afterwards, then enter the temple with confidence.

Temple SetupDirection: South (Fire).Altar: Red cloth, Marchosias’s sigil at the center, athame laid point-down across it.Candles: Two red, one black.Incense: Dragon’s blood and cinnamon.Offerings: Red wine, bread or meat scorched by flame.Crystals: Four red jaspers in a square around the altar.Opening the Circle

Take the athame in your dominant hand. Walk the circle clockwise with deliberate steps. At each quarter, thrust the blade forward once — a sharp, decisive motion — and declare:

“By fang and flame, I seal this circle in the name of Marchosias.”

Return to the altar and rest the athame across the sigil.

Invocation

Raise the athame high and proclaim:

“Marquis Marchosias, wolf of fire, winged warrior,
I summon you into this circle.
Burn away fear, fill my chest with courage,
Surround me with your fangs, shield me with your flame.”

Chant his enn “Es na ayer Marchosias secore” while moving around the circle, cutting the air lightly with the athame at each repetition.

Channeling the Wolf

Stand tall before the altar, athame raised against your chest. Still your breath for a moment, then begin inhaling deeply and exhaling forcefully, each breath sharper than the last, until you feel the blood warm in your veins.

As you breathe, strike the athame lightly against your sternum in rhythm, as if knocking on a shield.

In vision, see Marchosias materializing at the edge of the circle: a colossal wolf with wings of fire, its eyes burning like molten iron.

He begins to circle slowly, paws striking sparks, claws dragging fire across the boundary as he seals the perimeter. Each circuit grows faster, more intense, until flames trail in a ring around you.

On his third circuit, the wolf halts before you. You lock eyes with him. His eyes burn with ferocity. Suddenly, he leaps forward, crashing into your chest, merging into your blood and bones.

Your breath is torn from you as heat floods through your ribs. You feel the weight of wings spreading behind you, the fire of courage searing into your heart, the ferocity of the wolf now your own.

Raise the athame with both hands, point-up to the sky, and say aloud:

“Marchosias! Burn away my fear!
Steel my heart in fire!
Lend me your fang, your flame, your wings of war!”

Now move with deliberate steps to each quarter of the circle. At each station, plant your feet firmly, thrust the blade forward with force, and call a single word of power that cracks the air like a command:

East: “Sight!” – feel your awareness sharpen, eyes bright, all fear burned from your gaze.South: “Fire!” – feel heat pour through your chest, your blood boiling with resolve.West: “Blood!” – feel your pulse steady and strong, the life-force of a warrior surging.North: “Iron!” – feel your body like steel, unyielding and unbreakable.

As you return to the altar, see the four words ignite in the air above their stations, forming blazing pillars. The circle has become a fortress of fire, and you stand at its center as Marchosias incarnate.

Lower the athame slowly back to your chest, breathing in the fire you’ve raised. Stand there in silence for a moment, letting the power sink into marrow and mind.

To end the ritual, pour a libation in the demon’s honor and extinguish candles in reverse order.

Signs of Marchosias’s Presence

When Marchosias has heard and answered, signs often follow. Dreams of wolves, battles, or wings of fire are common.

In waking life, sudden surges of confidence or unexpected reversals in the fortunes of enemies show his paw at work.

You may notice others treating you with more respect, hesitation falling away when you act, or rivals stumbling at critical moments.

Synergy with Other Spirits

As part of a more comprehensive demonic stack, Marchosias pairs well with other martial and protective spirits:

With Belial, his victories translate into authority and social respect.

With Bael, his fire is hidden under a cloak of invisibility, allowing you to strike unseen.

With Andras, he becomes a force of pure destruction, though this combination risks chaos.

With Orias, his martial strength is refined into transformations of reputation and status.

Together, these alliances weave martial energy into long-term power rather than mere momentary defense.

The Devouring Flame Ritual – Evocation of Marchosias for Retribution Against Enemies

This is a ritual of vengeance. It is not protective but offensive, designed to unleash Marchosias’s fire against a named or represented enemy.

Preparatory Phase

On a Tuesday night during a waning Moon, abstain from comfort foods, sex, and relaxation. Meditate instead on the injustice you have suffered until the fire of anger sharpens in your mind.

Gather a representation of the target: a photo, a doll, a written name, or an item connected to them.

Temple Setup

Face South. Black cloth on the altar. Place Marchosias’s sigil in the center. On it, place the target’s representation. Over it lay an iron nail or small blade.

Flank the sigil with two black candles and one red candle behind them. Burn incense of dragon’s blood.

Form a crystal triangle around the target’s representation using obsidian, hematite, and black tourmaline. This grid focuses and amplifies destructive force.

Opening the Circle

Enter from the South, blade in hand. Walk clockwise three times, each circuit louder than the last, chanting:

“Wolf of fire, come forth. Winged hunter, descend. Flame of vengeance, awaken.”

At each quarter, strike the blade against stone or iron, producing sparks if possible.

Evocation

Stand before the altar, raise the blade, and call:

“Marquis Marchosias, wolf with wings of fire,
Enemy-breaker, vengeance-bringer,
I summon you into this circle.
This one (name the target) has struck unjustly.
Let their malice be devoured,
Let their works collapse in flame,
Let their own strike recoil upon them.”

Chant his enn “Es na ayer Marchosias secore” louder each time, until the air feels charged with the demon’s presence.

The Strike

Take the representation of the target, prick it three times with the iron blade or nail, and say with each strike:

“Fire upon you.”

Pass it through the red candle flame, enough to scorch or mark it. Then place it back within the crystal triangle.

Pour red wine over the representation, staining it, and declare:

“As this wine burns in fire, so your works rot and fail.”

Raise the blade above your head and slam it into the altar or ground beside the triangle, commanding:

“Marchosias, leap upon them! Tear their works, devour their ambition, burn them to ash.”

Sealing

Let the candles burn down at least halfway before extinguishing. Leave the target’s representation within the crystal triangle overnight.

In the morning, remove it and dispose of it by burying it at a crossroads, throwing it into running water, or leaving it in a place tied to the target’s path.

Pour out the rest of the wine as libation and say: “Marchosias, your vengeance is upon them. Depart in peace from this place, yet remain in my command until thy work is complete.”
