Read on...

Books on your shelf are ongoing conversations with each other–and you. Reading is a theoretical way to get involved in those conversations that prepare you for the conversations to come in the social space of your life.

Picking up a great book and then putting it down after you've read it isn't the goal...that's just the first step. Great books are a continued dialogue and leave impressions that can last for years. You never know when an acquired piece of knowledge will change your life.

I don't have a one-size-fits-all approach to reading. My job as a writer and a reader is to be open to the creative process of ideas and learning.

When you read, it's not just you who benefits, but everyone around you benefits. Keep learning.

Old Friends

It's a curious experience, but when I go back and read my short stories and novels, I find that I miss the characters–they really are old friends–best friends.

Writing Advice.

If you're worried about your work selling, then, in my opinion, you're not a writer. Don't sell out to the publishing world. The rush of writing is the writing. It's your voice the world does not yet have...let this be your light in darkness.
