Books on your shelf are ongoing conversations with each other–and you. Reading is a theoretical way to get involved in those conversations that prepare you for the conversations to come in the social space of your life.

Picking up a great book and then putting it down after you've read it isn't the goal...that's just the first step. Great books are a continued dialogue and leave impressions that can last for years. You never know when an acquired piece of knowledge will change your life.

I don't have a one-size-fits-all approach to reading. My job as a writer and a reader is to be open to the creative process of ideas and learning.

When you read, it's not just you who benefits, but everyone around you benefits. Keep learning.
