I …moreAfter over twenty years of teaching, I was unable to find books dealing with intimate and complex topics with relatable characters for my students. I wrote Chill Out & Stop Making This Weird: A Girl's Survival Guide Extraordinaire to fill this void and provide a framework for children to navigate this tricky part of puberty in a light-hearted, humorous approach. The book provides essential information that tweens/teens want to know, but feel awkward asking. The reader knows what is going on in Maddie's head and heart, and how she relates and copes throughout her pubescent journey.(less)
