Jack Locke was born in Queens, New York. He grew up in the suburbs before attending Temple University. He earned undergrad and graduate degrees before finding his passion in technology. Consulting and working full time for organizations like Microsoft, Facebook, Amazon and others, he focused on the emerging fields of Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Computing.

Later, he turned his attention towards the ethical implications and impact of advanced technologies on the human population. Specifically, Jack wrote, presented and spoke at conferences and government agencies around the world on how humanity must be cautious, yet brave in embracing new technologies. It was these experiences that prompted him to write Gun Griffon.

The Gun Griffon Bipeds

One of the primary “characters” in the Gun Griffon novel I wrote are the Gun Griffon frames themselves.  As with any anime or science fiction story, the protagonists and their struggle are the center of the work and drives the interest of the audience.  In many of my influences the mecha (or robots) are a supporting element of the story that are a backdrop to help develop the characters.  However,
