How do you like your erotica served?

1: More sex, less story.
2: More story, less sex.
3: A balance of story and sex.
4: Don't care as long as it's kinky as hell!

Please feel free to share!

Violet Reigns Remastered

The most common question I get asked is: what’s next? While I always have several projects on the go, what’s next will be a remastering of my works to date, principally my earlier books.

I’ve gotten more rigorous with my drafting and editing processes over time, so I’m revisiting my earlier books and giving them a remaster. This includes reworking for polish, pace, dialogue and descriptions. In some cases, I’m altering details within the stories or changing the endings, but not so they substantially differ from the original. Call me obsessive (if you dare), but I care about doing the best possible work I can for my readers.

I appreciate you all,
Big smooches 💋💋💋

Steve, Andrew, this is all your fault!

I read reviews with great interest. Writers learn a lot from them, even if they aren't about our books. One such review from Steve Naylor started a very interesting conversation about 'male manhood size' and honesty in relationship communications.

These topics are particularly interesting for me right now as I write Sinthea The Hotwife.

This is a link to Steve's review and the comments.

Anyway, I put Steve's suggestion about honest communication to the test in a real life scenario.

I bought a dress I knew looks awful on me, put it on for my husband and asked, "Do I look good in this?" (as per Steve's suggestion).

He paused, rubbed his chin and said, "No."

To which I replied, "Are you saying it makes me look fat?"

He shook his head and said, "No, it's just a little too grandma for you."

There was a very pregnant pause. Then he said, "Is my cock big enough for you?"

To which I replied, "You've been following my activity on Goodreads again, haven't you?"

Steve, Andrew, this is all your fault!

Hotwives, gentle dommes and peril!

I love hearing from my readers. Your messages are always a delight. To answer the recent flood of questions about what I’m working on next, I’m writing about hotwives, gentle dommes and dastardly peril.

Don’t worry… not in the same book.

I may take an unashamedly naughty unconventional approach to storytelling, but I wouldn’t want that fusion of storylines in the same book as a reader either.

I can’t tell you which one is coming first. After finishing 18 books, I’m taking time to work on whichever story I find most compelling at the time.

But here’s a little tease to answer any questions.

Sinthea: The Hotwife

Dear readers, don’t expect a standard hotwife story. This will be my take on the genre. After reading so many hotwife reviews here on Goodreads, and after seeing a plea from BobbyH for someone to mix things up, I’ve come up with a plot that makes me feel enthusiastic to give hotwives a try.

Sexually Assertive

Sexually Assertive will be a collection of mainstream erotic stories focused on gentle dommes. Yes. Mainstream. No fetishes. Just sweet, consensual erotica, with a touch of naughtiness for good measure. I have a soft side. Don’t tell anyone.

Untitled (Dastardly Peril)

And finally, I’m working on a homage to the writers at the roots of fear fetish erotica, the likes of Joe Schuster in his series Nights of Horror. There will be two books, one femdom and the other maledom. They’ll be similar to books like Breathless, but without the constraints of focusing on a single fetish.

That’s enough of a tease for now. Better get back to writing the books!

Breathless

After starting three very different books, I'm in the final stages of finishing one. Breathless has been an amazing journey for me as a writer. All going well, it will be published earlier than expected, next Thursday 10th November.

Writing this book has taught me more about human nature than any other book I've written to date. This is mostly thanks to the support and encouragement I've had from friends and followers on Goodreads. There are too many to name, but you know who you are. Thank you.

I wouldn't have been brave enough to write this collection without people understanding my stories are fantasies, safe outlets for the darker side of our nature, written purely for escapist entertainment.

Next, I want to thank Todd Salt for graciously allowing me to run with an idea he hinted at in his book Hangwoman Tales: An Erotic Horror Anthology. It's rare to meet a kindred spirit as an author writing in this genre, and he's one of the best.

Also, the collection features a fan request, which is a new thing for me. I enjoyed the challenge and am really thrilled how it came out.

Breathless isn't a new topic for me. Breath play is a classic fear fetish and it features in many of my books, but I rarely take it to the extreme. I hope you enjoy it.

What is fear fetish erotica?

And is it for you?

Fear fetish erotica, which encompases edgeplay, involves sexual activities that include fear to create sexual arousal. We normally experience sexual pleasure from a rush of endorphins. The fear fetish also aims to trigger a release of adrenaline, in the same way we get a thrill from reading scary novels.

Fear and edgeplay are types of BDSM, sexual activities which include significant physical or psychological risk. Two common examples are castration play and breath play. Others include kidnapping, knives, medical equipment, whipping, spanking and so forth.

As a reader, ask yourself this: Do you like your erotica Safe, Sane and Consensual (SSC), or are you open to Risk-Aware Consensual Kinks (RACK)?

In storytelling, you can make the following comparison:

SSC = Mainstream Erotica
RACK = Taboo Erotica

What’s the difference?

Mainstream erotica has plots with safe activities, with all characters entering into each situation with full consent. This includes stories with safe, consensual BDSM.

Taboo erotica has plots with unsafe scenarios, with characters entering into each situation aware of the risks. As a writer, this appeals to me because it gives me the freedom to create situations with strong conflict, and to give characters higher stakes with what they have to lose.

What does taboo erotica include?

Typically, taboo erotica can include any of the following:
Incest or pseudo-incest
Bestiality
Rape for titillation
Age Play
Dubious consent (dubcon)
Non-consensual sexual slavery
Extreme fetishes

So, to answer the question asked in the title, is fear fetish erotica for you? The answer is yes if you’re a RACK reader who is open to reading about any taboo topic listed above. If you’re a SSC reader and prefer your erotica clean and consensual, then fear fetish won’t be for you.

Sadly, the word ‘taboo’ is plastered across nearly every 18+ book published these days, which is quite misleading for readers. I always read the disclaimer before I buy a book. If it claims to be ‘taboo’ and the first thing I read in the disclaimer is words to the effect of saying it’s SSC, I won’t buy it on principle.

Everyone wants something different from erotica, just like any other genre. My brand of taboo erotica is entirely for thrills and entertainment. I write the kinds of stories I enjoy reading. They’re pure escapism, the naughty fantasies we sometimes play out in our mind but would never do in reality. And they don’t take themselves too seriously either.

But I draw the line with certain subjects. I will never write about children or minors. Pedophilia is illegal and for very good reason. It has no place in our society and no place in fiction either. I’m not interested in beastiality. It leaves me cold. And I’m not into extreme fetishes with gore or violence either. For my taste, they belong in horror books, not erotica.

I’m always keen to hear about other people’s taste in erotic fiction. What kind of erotica gets you hot and bothered in all the right ways?

Milkmaids

After writing 54 stories and one novella where men find themselves on the wrong end of a pair of scissors, I thought it was time for the women to have a turn at the dark side of erotica.

If you’ve read any of my stories, you’ll know I have a thing for lovely, big breasts. And honestly, why the hell not? Not only do they look great, they’re the symbol of the divine feminine, featured in art and literature dating back to myth.

So, my new series Milkmaids explores the fetish called lactophilia, where people take sexual pleasure from watching, extracting or drinking breast milk.

Lovely, big breasts and lactophilia are a match made in heaven... unless you give the subject to me... in which case, many of the stories are a match made in hell. It comes with the territory when writing dark fetish erotica.

But contrary to my usual offerings, I’ve written this new collection as a mixture of the wicked and wonderful, so expect pain, pleasure and the beautiful collision of both experienced at the same time.

Why milkmaids and not hucows?

Call me old fashioned, but I dislike the word hucows. It sounds ugly when read or spoken aloud, a crude collision of 'human' and 'cow.' I live in the country. Trust me, cows aren't sexy. They're smelly and nosy and have no place in erotica as far as I'm concerned.

Also, a hucow has been characterised in erotica as a nymphomaniac bimbo who can be passed around a room of horny men whenever her breasts are touched.

That story doesn’t interest me as a writer. Nor does the breastfeeding solo mother who has too much milk. Plenty of very capable authors have told that story already.

So, I’m treating the subject in the same way as my castration fantasies, as a larger than life, taboo practice performed by dominant men and women.

Please enjoy, with a tall glass of milk and a cookie or two.

Milkmaids is available now from Amazon

Shelled Nuts Series Two is coming...

Thank you to all the people who have purchased copies of the Shelled Nuts series. I'm quite overwhelmed by how popular they've proved and all the lovely feedback I've had from readers.

Book three in the series is in the finishing stages and is available on pre-release now. You follow this link to get a copy from Amazon.

There will also be a new trilogy of stories on the way. I'd planned to write them if the series was popular, so you can expect to see more released soon.

Thank you all so much.

Why I don’t use the F word

No, I do not use the F word... but only in my books. In real life, I’ve been known to swear like a trooper.

Fuck is an interesting word. It holds a special place in my heart as the only word in the English language that’s a verb, an adjective and a noun. You can make a complete sentence with fuck, as in: fuck the fucking fuckers. That’s pretty fucking cool, huh?

But as a word used in erotic fiction, it leaves me cold. Possibly because it’s often used to excess, but mostly because it doesn’t tell me much as a reader. It's a powerful word, but it’s also a vague word.

She fucked him.
He fucked her.
They fucked.

What does this tell me about what’s happening for the characters?

Erotica is an exploration of human sexuality, so I feel it needs descriptive writing that puts the reader not just in the shoes of the characters, but inside the body and soul of the characters. As a genre, it demands more of the writer than creating sympathy for the characters, it’s about showing what’s going on for them physically, emotionally and psychologically.

So, as I wrote my first novella, No Nursery Rhyme, I decided not to use a single F bomb in the book at all, to force myself to describe the above with the most precise language in my vocabulary. As a writer, it was a most enjoyable challenge. I hope it translates into a fucking great read.
