Scott Rubin is a lifelong geek, toy collector/reviewer, husband, and father. He started on the path early with Dune , Star Wars, Star Trek, Krull, and of course plenty of rad ‘80s toys. Friends at school introduced him to comic books and tabletop gaming, then Evil Dead and horror movies in high school. He can talk your ear off about all of these and other favorites—like Green Lantern, Robotech, Warhammer 40,000, HeroClix, spaceships, and more.

At UCLA Scott fell in love with everything Ancient Greek and Roman, and he went from a Classics major to a graduate degree focusing on Latin from UCSB. That education gave him an appreciation of etymology and the study of names, and he was able to combine his geeky passions and love of language and
