John Mitchell took up writing following a long career in Telecoms that has taken him around the world, including spells living and working in Ireland, France, Spain, New Zealand, South Africa, French Guiana, the United States, Jamaica and Martinique.

Now based in Richmond Upon Thames in South West London, he spends his time on the occasional Telecoms consulting project, in between running around the Borough and thinking of new problems for Jack McGill to solve.
