Gabi Justice is the author of Dog Girl, her teen and young adult contemporary romance debut, Florida Book Awards Silver Medal Winner in Young Adult Literature. She is the mom to three dogs and one stray cat named Luna Buna. She lives in Florida with her husband and children. You’d be hard-pressed to find a tennis court in the state that she hasn’t visited, having three competitive junior players in the family. She spent most of her adult life writing editorial copy for local magazines after graduating from the University of South Florida. I enjoyed his biography/life lessons book "I Can't Make This Up." And the third ... maybe James Patterson. His career has been such a success and I saw him speak at the SCBWI conference and enjoyed it. Or possibly Julie Buxbaum because her books are what I aim for in mine. Or ... or ... or ... It was a Jet…moreMy children and their friends inspire me. The inspiration for Dog Girl came on a plane while watching the TV show Pit Bulls and Parolees. It was a JetBlue flight where the TV screens are built into the seats. I'd planned to read a book but got sucked into Tia Torres' world of pit bull rescues and thought this would make a great YA book setting.(less)
