Story-telling was passed along to Brenda from both her mother who recounted her missions serving in the French Underground during WWII and her grandmother who used to tell "about the time it rained fish" and other stories from her past. After 37.5 years teaching in 3 states in the US as well as in Korea and Germany with the Department of Defense Dependents Schools, Brenda wrote ONE OF THE LUCKY ONES (her mom's biography), TALENT LUCK COURAGE (a memoir of her mom & uncle's experiences during WWII), MISCHIEVOUS MATCHMAKERS (a novel inspired by a visit to Paris with her Mom) and STARTING OVER (another novel loosely based on her year of teaching in Korea), and her third novel, LITTLE SPARROW, based on her Aunt Helene who died in the Holocaust. ...more
