Birgit Treipl (1965) is a Dutch Canadian author. She was born and raised in the Netherlands and holds a BA in marketing communications. Her career began in advertising, and she later founded a successful marketing and communications recruitment agency before immigrating to Canada. An outdoor enthusiast, she first moved to British Columbia and now splits her time between Nelson, British Columbia, and Seabright, Nova Scotia. Even Without Blood, drawn from her family history, is her first novel. First published as Schuilen Tussen Bamboe by HarperCollins Holland, the story was well received and praised by Dutch readers as a page turner.
