Writing what I want to read and what passes through my mind one strand of the very-instance at a time.
Let's be pretentious for a second...
The mind fascinates me. I want to grab the fleeting thoughts in my hand and capture the thing that only exists one second--or perhaps one millisecond, throughout the lifetime of a person, painting what others would forget as soon as they think about it.
Isn't it fascinating how one great idea could flicker in one's mind and then die just because the mind finds it unnecessary? When a diamond is lost, one could always find another, but when a thought is lost, none can retrieve it nor find anything similar to it.
Writing is to thoughts what a vault is to diamonds. And that is why I write.

I didn't start writing Vile Artistry until I've collected enough ideas for a full-fledged book, which I later planned on turning into a series. But aside from gothic novels, I gained momentum as I formed commentaries on the history of modern thoughts, which I kept in notes. But those ideas aren't the only ones, as I also had an epiphany when reading Woolf's essays. The phrase "...the exaltation of poetry and the ordinariness of prose" prompted me to rewrite Vile Artistry in the style that it is now. Many early American poets are my source of inspiration for the style--poets such as Whittier, Longfellow, Emerson, etc. have influenced me in my endeavour of finding my own style.
I would also like to mention the many video games that have helped me learn about worldbuilding, among them are Bloodborne, Dragon Age, the Elder Scrolls series, and Fable.(less)
