Born in India but brought up in Nigeria for the first fifteen years of my life. I moved back to India, finished studies, or how much ever my social setting allowed for. I got a job too. It was all quite grown up.

Then got married really early and began moving from country to country due to work.
Lived in various cities in India, then the US, and then finally living in a few cities in Canada, settled in Ontario.

Mother of a beautiful ray of sunshine girl, I loved making up stories and telling them since she was a toddler. I would write as a hobby and a dream for the longest time until I was encouraged to publish my work.

When I am not writing I am reading, doing photography, knitting, cooking, and/or painting.
I love doing anything creat

A beautiful and poetic book with poignant descriptions of the experiences of Canadians during the war. A well reached book. I love the positive ending and the sense that humanity perseveres no matter what the travesty.

Long, windy, wordy, confusing and meandering to nowhere until the end. Only in the last few pages did the book make actual sense. I wonder if that was the point of the author. In all I found the book tiring with the non stop history of India and curr ...more

A good read indeed. I enjoyed it, maybe the novelty wore off a bit but yet the plot twisted and turned enough to keep me guessing and the end was sweet. There is a hint of a new direction for the maid and if so, I look forward to that as well.
