Steve is a travel writer and memoirist, and occasional photographer.

He was born, like many, in London, and now lives in Melbourne with his wife, and three teenagers, so he is an unpaid uber-driver amongst many things.

He works in an office (for his many sins) but served as a Country Fire Authority firefighter, and loves getting out in the High Country and on skis in the Australian Alps.

Far Out by Jules Brown
"I can’t give more than five stars for this travel memoir but I would if I could. I am addicted to travel books and even more to train travel memoirs. This then was so up my rail tracks I couldn’t believe it. Already a big fan of Jules Brown’s writing" Read more of this review »
