I am a huge fan of the works of James Herbert, but I have found that there few other writers of his caliber. Some Kings works are ok, but I found his books can be overly long, and with disappointing endings. Though I should point out I loved Salms Lot, and his short story One for the Road. Dose anyone else find the horror genre lacking of late.

The Fading Light Series is a collection of short horror stories all set in the same universe. My aim with the series is to tell a tale which is set in the shadow of a possible End times scenario. The books will deal with all manner of supernatural beings, from ghosts and vampires, to psychics and cults. The first group of stories will be largely low key, and isolated, but as the series progresses, more and more plot threads and characters will be brought together to create a rich and terrifying world. The first two books are already available on amazon.
