E.D. Hackett is an only child who always wanted a sister. You'll find themes of sisters and mother-daughter relationships in almost all her novels, where she concocts complex relationships wrapped in forgiveness. Edy lives in New England, where the beaches, lobsters, and quirky cafes are characters of their own.

She has two children (three if you count the dog), and in her spare time, she dreams about living in Ireland.

Edy is an Enneagram Two (The Helper) or maybe a 5 (The Investigator) and is growing a book coaching side hustle (The Story Keeper Book Coach) to help aspiring authors navigate the indie publishing world.

I always wanted to live other people's lives and writing was the easiest way for me to do that. People watching gave me the material while wanted to live other people's lives gave me the motivation to write.(less)

Happy Veterans Day

Today, I heard a story about a man who lost both hands in World War II. Instead of getting down on himself or giving up on his dreams, he did it all. He learned how to care for himself, get dressed, have a family, work, and fight through the struggles with a smile on his face. His determination and grit to take something negative and turn it into motivation truly inspired me.

So good!
This story takes place in 1941, the protagonist is strong, and the twists and turns are plenty. I read this book in one day, which NEVER happens, because I had NO idea how it was going to end. The author did a great job layering in the clues,
