I love stories that pit innocence against evil - it doesn't matter the genre. The hero of the series is young and a bit naive, despite his brilliance, and up against powerful evil, almost insurmountable odds. I wanted Jordan to have some weaknesses, a little brashness, and definitely inexperience. On the surface, that innocence seems a liability that is offset by his sharp mind and great street sense - but ultimately, it could also be one of his greatest strengths. (less)
