“You know something. Life really is too short. We need to focus on the beautiful things in life, not their miseries. Life’s-end for one person doesn’t define them. It’s the memories that they make while they’re alive.”

“. . . I still strolled casually, leisurely, towards the balloon. It was quite an eerie feeling with it just hanging there as if an invisible person were holding the string, which is why I approached it slowly.”

“The click, clack of the typewriter weakened as I casually strolled through the forest. I stopped for a moment, turned back to study the cottage and the faint light in the window. I felt sad for the man because whatever it was that he was smiling about, whatever it was that he was typing, was disappearing with every stroke of the key.”

“It was unusually cold in that corner of the parlor no matter what time of year or season. You see, my wife was always mystified by that corner and for the longest time was convinced that there was something … on the other side.”
T.H. Cini, Tales of the Other Side

“As I peeked into the front window, I could see a side view of Mrs. Crandall holding up a mirror and talking to herself. I placed my hand over my mouth as to not laugh out loud, but the need to conceal my giggle quickly changed to shock when she turned her back, exposing the mirror. The image on the mirror was not of her.”
