Dr. Don Elwell has been, in his time, actor, director, playwright, college professor, blacksmith, swordsman, innkeeper, restaurateur, bookseller, and, on top of all that, an avid sailor. He is the author of the oddly prophetic "Coyote Trilogy" of plays, the novels "An Alien's Guide to Sears and Roebuck," "The Ganymeade Protocol," and "Zarabeth's World," along with numerous works on history, theatre, and sociology. He currently resides aboard his sailboat "Constellation" in the Chesapeake. ...more

I'm in the process of creating a sequel to the book, which will probably go into a bit more detail on the mechanics of the fleet, and of the fleet as it evolves. I'm a seasteading enthusiast as well, and a livaboard, so this stuff is also on my mind a lot. I actually removed a bit of the detail of the fleet--specifically of the Articles--from the original book in favor of leaving more to the reader's imagination, partly because I thought the detail might get in the way of the story. Perhaps, given some of the reactions I've gotten, I should include them in future iterations of the tale.

Thanks again,

“All the past is a lie. All history, all memories, all of it, are just illusions. None of it is who your are. The very next thing you do....that is who you are.”
Don Elwell

“This planet has - or rather had - a problem, which was this: most of the people living on it were unhappy for pretty much of the time. Many solutions were suggested for this problem, but most of these were largely concerned with the movement of small green pieces of paper, which was odd because on the whole it wasn't the small green pieces of paper that were unhappy.”
Douglas Adams, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy
