WDBX Interview

I'll be on WDBX radio in Carbondale IL Friday the 31st at 10:30 AM Local time (11:30 Eastern) to talk with the infamous Treesong about writing, my works, ecology, and a host of other subjects. If you're in the area, It's a 91.1 FM (and If you don't know that station, entirely driven by community volunteers, you should). Out of the area? You can stream the show live at WDBX.org. Stop by. This should be fun.

Zarabeth's World

I've been so pleased with the reaction to Zarabeth's World. The cover by Odile Stamman is striking, which really doesn't hurt getting the book noticed. (If you're an author, I recommend working with her highly. It was a good experience) Like every other author on here, if you've read it and liked it, please leave a review. We live and die by those things.

In response to a couple of persistent questions: yes, I am currently working on the long-promised sequel to The Ganymeade Protocol. I'd hoped to have it out before now, but these characters tend to have a mind of their own. The sequel's title is "The Flood Tarot" and you can look for it in the late spring.

More shortly

Ebooks on sale

To celebrate my new release, my publisher, Wild Shore Press, is doing a one day promo, putting all my other ebook novels on sale for just $.99. So put the date on your calendars: September first all the Kindle editions of my novels go on sale, so it's a great day to get some fall reading for cheap if you like my writing.

Do check out the new one, Zarabeth's World, though. It's one of the best things I've ever written. Quite proud of the thing. Zarabeth's World by Don Elwell

Zarabeth's World

Well, the new novel, "Zarabeth's World" is out to my beta readers. Look for the new piece to be out around the end of summer through Wild Shore Press and Amazon. Really something different for me, but I'm quite pleased with the thing.

Ganymeade Protocol Sequel

Well for you guys who have been waiting for/pestering me for/disgusted at me for not doing a sequel to "The Ganymeade Protocol" (and it's only been like, ten years so i don't get the urgency. . .sheesh); the new work is progressing nicely and should be done by year's end (and, yes, i mean THIS year.) The title for the sequel will be (drumroll) "The Flood Tarot".

I love the way new works take their own directions, and I think that if you liked "The Ganymeade Protocol" you'll be into this one (if you HAVEN'T read "Ganymeade" of course, here's a great excuse to do so, right?)

Anyway, the new piece (as with "Zarabeth's World" which releases later this year) will be available at Wild Shore Press (wildshorepress.com) as well as on Amazon, both hardcopy (trade paper) and electronic versions.

More shortly

An Embarrassing Success

Okay, so some of you may know that we're livaboards, and have lived on the water for some five years now. The details of that wonderful time have been chronicled in our blog www.thefloatingempire.com, with all the information on the building of the shantyboats Floating Empire and Tesla's Revenge, life on the water, making art and literature, and general weirdness.

IN the course of doing that, because we had so many requests to consolidate the information, we took the posts we had done on the design, construction, use, and servicing of composting toilets (I know, fascinating, right?) into a booklet and stuck it on kindle for people to download as a single piece of info. . . .

sigh

It's outsold anything I've ever written.

So the moral is, writing Sh*t will get you nowhere, but writing ABOUT it is apparently popular.

my life is odd
