I usually get writer's block when something isn't working in a manuscript so I take a few steps back, maybe revisit my outline, and try to get a better overall vision of what I want the piece to look like.

I go through the full gamut of emotions when I write, ranging from complete disgust to giddy joy so that relief at the end when I see all that I've done laid before me is priceless.(less)
