I was born and raised in upstate New York in the small, close-knit town of Elmira. I attended college at SUNY Alfred where I studied business. My husband and I currently live in North Carolina.

I have always been an avid reader, mostly of mysteries and thrillers. After raising three children, I began working on my own writing. My first published novel, Rook, is the product of extremely hard work and dedication. Writing it has opened up a whole new world for me and I am beyond thrilled to share this part of my life with you all.

Edgar Allan Poe
“I became insane, with long intervals of horrible sanity.”
Edgar Allan Poe

Mitch Albom
“Death ends a life, not a relationship.”
Mitch Albom, Tuesdays with Morrie: An Old Man, a Young Man, and Life's Greatest Lesson

Mitch Albom
“Life has to end. Love doesn't.”
Mitch Albom, The Five People You Meet in Heaven

Stephen King
“Sometimes being a bitch is all a woman's got to hold on to.”
Stephen King, Dolores Claiborne

Philip Larkin
“They fuck you up, your mum and dad.
They may not mean to, but they do.
They fill you with the faults they had
And add some extra, just for you.

But they were fucked up in their turn
By fools in old-style hats and coats,
Who half the time were soppy-stern
And half at one another's throats.

Man hands on misery to man.
It deepens like a coastal shelf.
Get out as early as you can,
And don't have any kids yourself.”
Philip Larkin, High Windows
