C. P. Monaghan is an accomplished writer who has been actively publishing and marketing books since April 2021. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a Creative Writing minor at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss).

As an author, Monaghan handles all aspects of the literary process—from writing and editing to design and marketing. In addition to book publications, Monaghan maintains an active online presence through a personal website featuring blog-format writing pieces.

Monaghan's literary achievements span multiple genres and competitions. Notable accolades include winning 1st place in Formal Essay and 3rd place in Fiction at the Southern Literary Festival Creative Writing Contest for the works "Mother Nature and the C. P. In 2021, Monaghan received the prestigious Scholastic Silver Key Award for Writing Portfolio—an honor granted to only 7% of all submissions by the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers. The award-winning portfolio, titled "Inquiry, Belief, & Elucidation: Human Identity," places Monaghan among distinguished alumni including Stephen King, Sylvia Plath, and John Updike.

Monaghan's versatility as a writer is evident in sweep victories at writing competitions, including placing in every genre at the Itawamba Community College Writing Contest with works spanning poetry ("Static Ambiance"), fiction ("Be No Evil"), drama ("TO CAPTURE A HEART"), essay ("Mother Nature and the Father"), and nonfiction ("Trauma").

Beyond personal writing achievements, Monaghan has served the literary community as Poetry Editor for both The Landshark Review at Ole Miss and The Calliope art and poetry journal at Itawamba Community College.
