Peek A Boo! Those Eyes..Deciding On The Cover For The Perfect Move
I looked at many covers when deciding on my cover. It was The Great Gatsby’s cover, especially the eyes that drew my attention. The Great Gatsby is one of my favorite books. My own book has a great deal of Gatsby references throughout so, I thought it would be fun to have a shout out or Easter egg (if you will) to Gatsby as part of my cover design!! Of course I had to pick the eyes!!!
The title reference has a double entendre to it. I’ll leave it at that.
Finally, there is a grand mansion on the cover. It is a shout out to the fictional mansion in the book, however, it too is a shout out to- OHEKA CASTLE, which was the inspiration for the mansion in the book!
