I know it sounds stupid, but that's exactly what I did. Any time I had a block I just wrote whatever came out that was as relevant as possible. I'm happy that I was able to get through, but it took five edits to get to where it is now. If you just keep writing and then change it to what you want, the entire story is written, no more writers block. The only thing you need to worry about is fixing those pesky blocked areas and you'll be golden. After the entire story exists, then add the details, then focus on the flow. (less)

I spent 20 years maturing and narrowing the story down to what it is now. It was going to be so different originally, the main character was going to be named Kail Claskan instead of just Kail with Claskan as the second lead. Also the catalyst for everything was going to be the death of the woman he loved, I was so arrogant back then, but now I found a way to truly make the story and the people without relying so heavily on the main characters love interest and instead his experiences.(less)

How a story came to "life".

Dragonkind Dawn of Prophecy is a book series I've thought an awful lot about. I spent the better part of twenty years thinking about the main character and assuming his, and his father figure's, names into everything I did. I am Kail Claskan, yet they're two different characters. So does that make me three people, two people, or just a dude with a story. I'm going with the latter.
