Tattered Hearts is Here!

I am so excited to share that my book Tattered Hearts, the second book in The LarkSpring Chronicles, is out today!! God has been so faithful and good during the book writing and publishing process and I’m so thankful for Him! Writing a sequel was definitely a new thing for me and there were some new things to navigate but it was also a really awesome experience as well! I’m so excited to finally get to share it with you guys!

About the Book:

It’s been over a year since Autumn McKay had her last day of summer camp at her bakery for some girls at the local elementary school, but she’s still as busy as ever. With the addition of catering services to her bakery business, she feels like she’s in over her head. Not to mention she thinks she’s failing when it comes to keeping up with the people in her life that she cares about, like her brother Micah or her best friend Esther.

Micah McKay has his dream job, but he knows he’ll never be good enough to pursue a relationship with his dream girl. He had fallen short before, so why would that be any different now?

Esther Tornsey is living out her God-given dream of owning a bookstore, but her friendship with Micah has been bringing back old fears. If she let down the walls around her heart, wouldn’t she just get hurt again?

Tattered Hearts is available on Amazon in both eBook and paperback! You can order a copy on Amazon here!

Thank you so much for all of your support and encouragement! It means so much to me! I hope you enjoy Tattered Hearts and that God can use this book to encourage you. To God be all the glory!

October Wrap Up!

October was filled with some hard days but also some good ones. I feel like sometimes that’s what life can be, but I’m so thankful that The Lord is still in control and He loves me.

On October 5th, I had my cover reveal for my upcoming book, Tattered Hearts! It was so awesome being able to share it with everyone. I can’t believe Tattered Hearts comes out in just one week! God is so good!

I got to go to the pumpkin patch with my friend Mikayla! Even though it was 90 degrees out haha, it was a lot of fun!

I went to the zoo for a church event, and it was so much fun seeing all the animals! I hadn’t been to a zoo in so long.

Hot chocolate!

I last minute decided to try and throw together a costume for Halloween and we dressed Roxie, my family’s dog, up as a butterfly! I dressed up as Cinderella, and I called Roxie my animal friend haha!

What I’m Grateful For: Pumpkin patch visits with Mikayla, good friends who care about you and listen to your heart, phone calls with friends, fun podcast recordings with my friend Rachel, Roxie’s cuteness and cuddles, God’s unconditional love and comfort, good music, good food at coffee shops, and finding a cute sweatshirt while shopping.

What I’m Listening To: not by sight by Stephen Stanley.

What I’m Reading: Fields of Glass by Alyssa Schwartz.

How was your October? What has God been teaching you lately?

September Wrap Up

I am writing this September Wrap Up post a few days late because it’s been a bit of a busy week! September was a month filled with ups and downs. I’m so thankful that through everything, God never changes. Even when I doubt His plans and have hard days, He is still steady. He is so good!

A coffee shop that my family and I really enjoy going to started selling gluten free crepes and they were delicious!

I got to go to my friend Mikayla’s sister’s wedding, and my friend was the most beautiful maid of honor! I always enjoy going to weddings, they’re so beautiful!

We celebrated my sister Emma’s birthday and also had a celebrity sighting haha! Cooper Manning, the brother of Peyton and Eli Manning, was eating at the same restaurant we were!

My mom and I decorated for fall, which is my favorite season!

In September I also worked a lot on Ink Drinker’s Book Box, a company that my friends Michelle, Marissa, and I just started running. We launched our first book box last month with the hopes of launching our next book soon!

March 2024 Recap

March was filled with some really fun moments but also some moments that caused me to be a bit anxious as well. The Lord has really been showing me how to lean on and that I can trust Him even when things look cloudy up ahead. He sent His One and Only Son, Jesus Christ to die for us, and three days later He rose again and defeated death and sin forever. What a Savior and friend we have in Jesus!

At the beginning of March, we went to Pizza Fest where we got to have some good pizza. We also got to see the famous Clydesdale’s from the Budweiser commercials when they came to town! I’m not a Budweiser fan but I am a horse fan, and I didn’t realize just how huge they are until seeing them in person! It was really cool!

Also got to chicken, duck, and dog sit! These are two sweet dogs!

My sister and I did a blind taste test of Zevia, a soda we like and a prebiotic soda we had never had before. We definitely liked Zevia better haha!

Also got to go to a horse vaulting event which was really fun to watch! I’ve been having a lot of horse fever lately after reading some horse books!

It’s also bluebonnet season in TX right now, and they’re so beautiful to see!

This rainbow reminded me of God’s faithfulness and His promises to us. ❤

We celebrated our Risen Savior for Easter! We went to our church’s sunrise service, went to a coffee shop, and got brunch/lunch!

I’m Grateful For: Phone calls with my best friends, a sweet baby sleeping in my arms, good books to read, an exciting opportunity, God’s mercy and grace, the gift of salvation, a new Joseph O’Brien song, horses, good sourdough pizza, a book I didn’t know I needed but was the sweetest ending to a series, Easter, the fact that Sunday is coming, celebrating our Risen Savior, and a rainbow after a storm.

What I’m Reading: Starlight Animal Rescue series by Dandi Daley Mackall, Ranch Girl and the Orphan Lamb Adventure by Brenda Ferguson, and Positively, Penelope by Pepper Basham.

What I’m Listening To: Tonight, Get Back Up Again, and City On Our Knees by Tobymac, Headphones by Britt Nicole, My Fault by Coby James, Something Different and like that you love me by Joseph O’Brien, Car Trouble by Owl City, and Breakthrough by Grace Graber.

What have you been up to this month? How was your Easter? What has God been teaching you?

January 2024 Wrap Up!

Hi everyone! I was inspired by my friend Hailey Hudson and her monthly wrap up posts that she does, and with the new year I wanted to try to do these as a way for me to look back and see the Lord’s goodness and faithfulness.

January was a month filled with some good days and some hard days and trying to trust God with some unknowns in my life. I rang in the new year with my family at our New Year’s Christmas celebration with my grandparents, uncle, aunt, and cousins.

My sister and I also got to road-trip down to see one of our childhood friends for the first time in 4 and a half years, and meet her sweet new baby boy for the first time! It was such a wonderful day!

We also had a freeze here on Martin Luther King Jr. day. We got some ice and there were some flurries of snow, which was really cool, but not enough to stick to the ground.

My mom took my siblings and cousins and I to get pizookies one day! I had never had one before, and thought it was delicious! Would definitely recommend haha!

I also got to chicken, duck, and dog sit for my neighbors! I wasn’t used to being in a house at night by myself, so it was a bit quiet for me haha, but after the first night I was more used to it! The dogs were really sweet!

I also started attending a Bible Study this month! We’re doing a study on the book of Ruth, and I’ve loved it! It’s really helped me to fall more in love with God and His Word.

My friend, Rachel, and I recorded some episodes of our podcast, No Ring by Spring.

This month I did some outlining of the third book in my series the LarkSpring Chronicles. I also subbed a few days and am getting ready to start my new nanny job in February. God is so good!

What I’ve Been Listening to This Month: Kevin Quinn’s new album, Real Me, Hailey Hudson’s new song, Just Us, For King & Country’s new cover, Place In This World, Coby James, Stephen Stanley, Jacob Stanifer, Joseph O’Brien, Xander Sallows, Sam Bowman, and Young Pop Renegades.

What I’ve Been Watching This Month: Lots of football mainly. The Texans won their division and won their first playoff game before losing to the Ravens, it was fun keeping up with them. I’ve watched the NFL playoffs and also some of the college football championship.

What I’m Grateful For This Month: Getting to see my childhood friend, sweet babies, phone chats with my amazing friends, my new Bible Study, and God’s unconditional love, grace, and sovereignty.

How was your January? What did you do this month?
