Hi everyone!

I'm a cat lady, anime lover, and Pepsi addict!

I'm definitely the type of person who becomes way too invested in the world and characters that live in books! When I finish a great series (ex. Tigers Curse, Six of Crows) I literally don't know what to do with myself.

A great and terrible feeling that I keep wanting again and again!

I strive to write the type of stories that I personally love reading. My focus is on building believable relationships between characters and using action in the best ways possible to keep you hooked!

My first 2 books in my trilogy are available on Amazon (and Kindle Unlimited!)

In the words of Tahereh Mafi, "writing a book is hard." She is so right.

The most satisfying part for me is seeing my finished product and holding it in my hands, but technically that has more to do with the publishing process than the writing process.

Writing is my way to get my ideas out of my head and watch them play out in front of me. I love throwing my characters into terrifying situations and then figuring out how to get them out of it as realistically as possible. Creating character charts and designing relationships is fun for me because I love analyzing romantic/friendship relationships and figuring out what makes two people compatible.

In school my strengths were definitely in English class and my friends used to send me their school essays/papers in college for editing, which is obviously how I became confident enough to edit/format my books myself! It feels great to use my strengths to my advantage and create something for others to enjoy. (less)

Hmm... advice...

Writing is a lonely business! I remember when I first started writing novels I became very discouraged because I didn't have any other writer-friends to bounce off of. I overcame this feeling by following other writing accounts on Instagram which really supported the emotions I was having and brought me into a community of others with the same passion.

My other advice: finish the dang book! I don't care what it takes or how long it takes, finish the book no matter how bad you think it is. You can go back later and change it but you have to start somewhere.

Trust me, nobody wants to read my first unpublished novel "Fishy Taste". It is still sitting on my laptop and needs some major plot editing before it will see the light of day.(less)

Significance of Book Covers

“Don’t judge a book by its cover,” is an archaic quote.

That’s exactly what we do. Initially, we judge a book by its cover!

Scientifically, it takes humans 7 seconds to make an impression and 27 seconds to form an opinion. My book cover has 7 seconds to make a good impression and draw you in. I have 7 seconds to intrigue you, just by the cover, to click on my book. Then I have 20 seconds of my book Read more of this blog post »
