Kevin was born and raised in the frozen tundra of the Badger State and grew up sucking at sports but rocking it out as an above average Dungeon Master. After completing the Kessel Run in less than 11 parsecs (a galactic record) he was named the 10th member of the Fellowship at the Council of Elrond. On his way to Mordor, he took a wrong turn in King’s Landing and wound up in New Orleans where he refined his cook skills, got into the right kind of trouble, and in general, tried to avoid growing up. When that inevitable day came, and it was time to start adulting, he settled in California and spent the majority of his professional life working in Emergency Dispatch. I tend to write frenetically, hammering the keys as quickly as possible to just get the thoughts out of my head. When I pause to re-read it, I often talk myself out of it, or get lost in self-doubt. It was helpful to me to just write and not consider whether or not it made sense or had value. The first step was just filling notebooks and getting it onto the page. Once it was out of my head, then ample time could be spent editing and proofreading - molding it into a finished work.(less)
