Stop calling yourself aspiring and call yourself what it is that you want to become. Step into that role in your mind and heart and then shine it outward for the rest of the world.

The second, do not beat yourself up on the journey to publishing. There are always going to be challenges and hardships. There will always be hurdles. Persevere, be persistent, and push forward. You are the only one that limits what you are capable of doing and becoming, and if you decide that you are limitless, your life will start showing you just how accurate that truly is. (less)

There is a downtime space that is needed after the work that is put into for writing, editing, formatting, editing, crying, editing, giving up, editing, and then throwing up the red flag and letting someone else look, read, review, edit, and send back to you. To go down the self-publication route, there is a lot of work to put in, but more than that you have to be dedicated and assured that you know this is something you are meant to do because you feel that fiery passion within your heart and soul. Let yourself flow with the process, do the work knowing that you are able to do so, but when you are tired, when you reach each accomplishment along the way, give yourself permission to take a break and rest as you need to.

After that, I have a couple of follow up memoirs planned to talk more about the first book and it's impact after writing on my life, as well as different aspects of life. (less)

“I know what love is, Mom. I’ve had love that burns in every fiber of my being, that drives me to be a better person and empowers me through each moment of the day. If you’d ever had something like that, you’d hold on to it with every bit of strength you had.”
