If you are stuck and not sure where your story is going, or you want to go to point A to point C but point B seems to be a gaping hole, TALK TO PEOPLE. Specifically, people that have no idea what you’re writing about. I find that logic isn’t all that logical when you’re stressing about the perfect next line.
Another fun technique, I like to try writing any possible next part. Like, what would happen if they dropped everything and went to steal the Mona Lisa? Is this a terrible next part? Absolutely. But sometimes you gotta work through the crazy to get to the logic.(less)

A lot of the time, as a writer, you hear people telling you to “write what you know.” While I’ll agree that’s important, you are only one person. Talking to people and asking them questions can really help diversify the voices in your works, you may even pick up some fun knowledge!
When I was writing on the bus, someone came up to me and asked me what I was doing. Not a typical bus thing, especially in Ottawa, however, I explained to him my story and told him that I had a weird plot hole in it that I don’t know how to solve. Thanks to this random bus stranger with large amounts of computer science knowledge, I no longer have that plot hole and a new and diverse voice in my book!(less)

Ooo A Blog Post

Blog posts have always been weird to me. Like, who would want to know anything about what I'm thinking or doing on any given day? I guess I can use this for book updates, but have any of you actually ever heard of a writer who writes ? Unheard of from my experience. Let's be honest, writers just go to sleep one night with an idea and wake up with a freshly polished draft underneath their pillow th Read more of this blog post »

Okay, hear me out. This almost felt unfair to the reader.

This situation went from wonky to bonkers in just one book. Like, aside from the characters, this plot does not feel similar to the first book AT ALL. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for character

Sager's books are really a hit or a miss.

I really liked this one. I thought it was a perfect little mystery with eeriy thrilling aspects to keep you awake at night. I think his books would infinitely get 10x better if he leaned into the horror aspec
