Max Folsom answered Bonny Beswick's question: How much time do you devote to writing novels? And how much to short fiction? Almost all my writing time is for novels. I typically write for six hours a day - taking lots of breaks for more coffee, bathroom breaks, emails, etc. I've only written one short story, which I love but it hasn't grabbed anyone else's heartstrings.
