I try and figure out WHY I'm experiencing writer's block.
Is my creative tank empty? If so, I go read a new book or watch a movie that just released and see if that fills my tank and I am inspired again. Usually I get about 50 pages in and I'm ready to jot a couple hundred words down.
Am I just not feeling this scene? Then I bullet point what has to happen in that scene and come back to it later when its more willing to talk to me.
Am I distracted by *literally* everything around me? I might need a break from this project, but before I take that break I make myself put at least 500 words down. Sometimes just putting the words to paper opens up a well of inspiration and other times I really do need that break.(less)

“It was the emotional equivalent of a papercut on an amputated limb.”
A.P. Walston, These Hollow Shores

“Good God, Markus,” she snapped. “Is now really the time? Snogging in a collapsing temple while the Kraken is being woken from its watery tomb? Have some decorum, you bumbling oaf!”
