Hey, y’all!

Not to sound like a cliché, but I’m just a small-town Southern girl from Mayfield, Kentucky (officially). Every day, I get closer to figuring out who and what I am and what I want from life. I love to write, bake, and binge cheesy romance movies. I’ve lived in too many towns to count, but have always considered Mayfield to be my hometown.

For as long as I can remember, I have dreamed of being an author. I also can’t remember when I first fell in love with reading, but I may have been born with a book in hand. All I want is to tell stories and maybe, just maybe, have the effect on a reader that so many authors have had on me. For now, I battle writer’s block and imposter syndrome to make my dream come true.

I am actually in the process of 3 new main books.

1) The first is unnamed thus far, but will be a collection of shorts (all 700-1500 words long). Initially the shorts began as a way to combat writer's block but I have had so much fun with them, that I decided to compile them and when they are done, they will be released.

2) Through the Smoke is hard to describe. It starts out with a grieving widow (Sawyer) and a trans woman (Nevaeh) who lost her brother. They meet in a grief counseling group, and the women slowly become friends who later fall in love.

3) The Graveyard Shift is supernatural fiction set mostly in a fictional gas station. The leading lady, Jordan, starts a new job and learns that the customers she sees at the store are more than she expected. It's fun, light-hearted, and has a romantic sub-plot. (less)

I give myself a piece of dialogue that must be used, and then I have to create a whole story that uses that piece.

It's challenging and so much fun. Usually, once I start writing, it just flows. And then when the short is finished, I typically find that I have the creative juice to tackle one of my current work-in-progresses.(less)

I didn't realize at first that this was a UK based book, so the British spellings and British slang threw me off at first.

Frankie and Chris were a cute couple, but outside of fast cars and Formula One, it didn't seem like they had any interests or pe

To be frank, this was not a well-written book. Lots of telling instead of showing, seemingly flat characters with no true personalities, problems that were solved immediately off page, and other issues.

However, it was a cute premise in a low-stakes s

Tea, books, magic, tea, friendship, grief... Did I mention tea? There's a lot of tea in this book.

I loved how immersive this book was, you could really feel the grief, love, and excitement Onnie experiences as she navigates her new role as Keeper. By

There were a lot of editing errors. The wrong names were used multiple times, "air" instead of "are", and run-on sentences everywhere.

I also could make a drinking game out of how many times "computer geek", "nerd", "nerdy", and "alpha" was used. But

It was such an interesting concept, but the book had poor execution. The pacing and dialogue was stilted. The conflict was solved far too easily. It just was a disappointing read.

The lore and world building in To Kill a Fae was fantastic, it was intricate. I enjoyed how it was explained over the course of the book instead of just dumped on the reader all at once.

Each of the characters was well written and unique, though Bloss

There were quite a few grammatical and editing errors in this sequel. Also, some of the conflict was solved far too simply. Ledger, while I understand his hesitation at accepting his faerie father, irritates me. Drystan had raised the 2 of them for 1 ...more

Liserli was a dynamic FMC, she did have a few whiny flip-floppy moments but she was also 19, so it made sense. I feel she grew a lot by the end of the book. I really enjoyed seeing her change.

This read was violently sexual. It opens with a fire that the reader and the characters have no idea how it started, and it ends with at least 2 of the characters knowing but the reader still doesn't have a clear answer.

My biggest issue is that there
