Kimberly Vanderhorst grew up sandwiched between the mountains and the sea of British Columbia, Canada. She now lives in the interior of the province where--between the weather and the wildlife--it often feels like the outdoors is trying to kill her.

Last week’s debut of “Dear One,” my collection of 100 uplifting quotes and poems for the “hopeful and weary” has been dizzyingly wonderful.

I had what I thought was a lofty goal to sell 50 copies in the first month and my incredible supporters lifted me to that height within the first week. I am beyond grateful.
