I too walked that path with my wife for a number of years until her death. In part to honor that memory, I have joined the board of a local organization, Dementia Education Inc, that seeks to bring understanding and a compassionate care mentality to caregivers and the public at large. Since we don't know what's going on with the person with dementia, we are all at a loss on how to react to them. We seek better.?
