David J. Salisbury enjoyed reading from a young age. He always enjoyed writing and even took a creative writing class in high school, where his writing days ended as far as he knew. He went to a two-year college in upstate New York on a general engineering curriculum designed as a steppingstone into a four-year school but changed curriculums after spending a year working with engineers.
In his twenties and thirties, he wrote a series of extremely short stories in his spare time, with his brother as the only intended reader. Both David and his brother enjoyed the stories, but somewhere along the way, they were all lost.

Most of the places I read about are worse than where I live now, so it's hard to say where I would want to visit. I work a 9 to 5 plus I own a small business (malting barley for breweries and distilleries) in addition to my publishing company and writing. My life is fairly boring, and writing is my outlet for that. The one exception is the book that will be coming out in the fall of 2022, which I have not nailed down a title for yet. That was inspired by something that happened to me one afternoon when I was alone in the malthouse.(less)

A New Year - New Books

I have a pretty good record of finishing books and a really terrible record of getting them published when I say I will. I published in '21, '22 and '23 and not again since. That said, I have two complete novels to publish in '26 and my goal this year is to also publish a third, which I am about halfway done writing now.

The Katya Disaster - Is the third installment of my series The Orris Project, Read more of this blog post »
