I'm a lifelong bookworm who, at the end of 2021, finally crossed "write a novel" off my Bucket List! I read women's fiction, thriller/suspense, memoirs, dystopian fiction, and some YA and fantasy.

My author bio:
Kerry Crisley is a 25+ year veteran of the communications industry. Fiction, however, is her first love; she wrote and directed an original play performed by her second grade classmates, and has been writing ever since. She lives in Wakefield, Massachusetts with her husband, their children, and their (very spoiled) rescue dog. When not at work, Kerry can usually be found reading, hiking, or getting into a wide variety of shenanigans with her book club. Kerry is a current member of the Women's Fiction Writing Association, and also mus

Then I start describing the surroundings; I may end up deleting most of it, but it usually removes whatever obstacle is preventing me from moving my story forward.(less)
Kerry Crisley For me, it was the feeling of physically holding my paperback in hand for the first time. Unforgettable!

Taylor Caldwell
“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.”
Taylor Caldwell, A Pillar of Iron
