Basile Lebret is a French writer and lives South of Paris where the city meets the trees. He started as a gaffer in the film industry before turning to his first love: story-telling. Throughout the years, he became a slush pile reader for a production company, helped independent videogame studios, actors and filmmakers with their scripts and tried his hands at comic books. In 2022, he decided to write in English and has since been published in the UK, Canada and the US through different anthologies. In 2024, his work finally appeared in his home country of France. In 2025, the first short film on which he’s been script consultant-Impure by Xavier Mesme- won several prices in international festivals.
