Matt Morton is the teaching pastor at the Creekside campus of Grace Bible Church in College Station, Texas, the home of Texas A&M University. He has been in ministry for more than two decades, serving as a worship leader, college pastor, and communications pastor before stepping into his current role. He has written for Relevant, Bible Study Magazine, DTS Magazine, and bible.org. He is the co-author of the Ordinary Greatness Bible study series, a set of biblical character studies for young men (NavPress, 2012).

As I studied Galatians, it became clearer and clearer to me that Paul viewed the Holy Spirit as the ultimate "game-changer" for living the Christian life. Yet as I studied the references to the Holy Spirit throughout the New Testament, it occurred to me that only rarely does the Spirit work in "dramatic" ways. Instead, He tends to speak to us and lead us through basic spiritual practices like prayer, Scripture meditation, and worship. I found that there were very few practical, easy-to-read books that aimed to help Christians walk with the Spirit on a daily basis. That's what my book is trying to accomplish. (less)
