Freya O'Brien is an English poet and illustrator who channels her heart through her pen. She creates poems and illustrations based on her personal life, thoughts and emotions. She specifically focuses on her experiences with mental health, grief, trauma, family, relationships and healing.
Freya uses a pen and paper as an outlet on the darkest of days, and shares her work so if anyone relates to her experiences, they can feel less alone in theirs.

I view writers block as my brain signalling that I need a break. So, I allow myself one. I put my pen down and take time off. I go for walks in nature, I see loved ones and / or try something new. When I feel inspired and like the words are itching to be on the paper, only then do I start writing again. I then usually have a surge of ideas!(less)

Not a fan

Started off great and then steadily got worse, ending in a complete nosedive.

The characters were unlikeable, and the ending was dark, clichéd, and came out of nowhere.

Bitterly disappointed.

mysterious, clever and completely addictive!!

Through a Dark Lens is easily one of the best books I’ve read this year.

This book felt a bit unnecessary after book three.

I felt it a bit juvenile compared to the darkness and stakes of the last one.

I just found the change in Gabriel’s feelings a bit whiplash-y towards the end.

Love the characters and the underlying story. This book just fell a bit short, there was just too much going on at once -
